I seriously doubt that Disney/Marvel is going to have Herc be "openly gay"... They might make him flamboyant enough to the point where people get the gist that he is supposed to be or at the very least question it... but, they aren't going to risk that kind of money on that kind of controversy.

Figures. My favorite underutilized Marvel character of all time (Gilgamesh, aka The Forgotten One) is the powerhouse of the Eternals and even in their own movie he's being passed over for Hercules. Forgotten One, indeed.
But I'm looking forward to seeing Herc in the MCU so it isn't all bad news.
