Is this like a viral marketing red herring kind of theory? Cause the movies didn't give me much of a reason to expect time travel. Who can do it? And how? Why?

I guess I'll put this in spoilers It's not a theory anymore. All of the merchandise of the suits the Avengers wear in the trailer call them 'quantum suits.' The time travel aspect of the film is all but confirmed at this point.

What does quantum have to do with time travel to the past? Have you seen the Ant-Man movies? Yes there is a mention of Time Vortices in the after credit scene in Ant-man and the Wasp. There is also what appears to be a city in the Quantum Realm. Also in Doctor Strange the Ancient One showed him other Universes one of them being the Quantum Realm. Meaning Quantum suits could mean Time Travel or Multiple Universes. Quantum suits by themselves doesn't confirm Time Travel. Just that they will use Quantum Realm in some way.

I'm not saying they aren't, but they've set up multiple universes too...

Yeah, but from other's responses I gather there was an after-credits scene I might have missed; I tired of that particular gimmick about ten movies ago. After two hours of movie and some 64 oz of soda, draining the lizard takes precedence over sitting through near-endless rows of 'third subordinate dolly grip' credits to finally see a partial trailer for another movie.

Doesn't China have an ordinance or something against showing movies with time travel? I supposed if the movie just calls it "dimension travel", they'll get their over seas dollars there. But still, it would be just hilarious if suddenly the move was pulled from Chinese theaters for this reason.
