Since the whole charm/gimmick of SHAZAM!⚡️ is the fact that it is about a kid who turns into the superhero, SHAZAM!⚡️ when he yells the word SHAZAM!⚡️ doesn't that pose a significant problem for a potential SHAZAM!⚡️ 2 and SHAZAM!⚡️ 3?
I mean, if SHAZAM!⚡️ 2 comes out in four years then the kid who plays the non-SHAZAMed!⚡️ SHAZAM!⚡️ (Billy Watson⚡️) will be 19 years old. And if they go for a SHAZAM!⚡️ trilogy, he will likely be in his twenties for SHAZAM!⚡️ 3. And if SHAZAM!⚡️ sticks around in the DCECU for as long as RDJ has in the MCECU then we may see a thirty year old Billy yelling SHAZAM!⚡️ to turn into SHAZAM!⚡️ at which point Zachary Levi may as well play them BOTH!⚡️
Doesn't this kind of kill the main premise of the SHAZAM!⚡️ character? I mean, who wants to see a movie about a twenty year old adult who yells SHAZAM!⚡️ only to turn into a middle aged SHAZAM!⚡️
Is DC totally SHAZAMED!⚡️ on this one?

This is partly why I think they should’ve gone with a pre-teen for the movie. It would’ve allowed for more longevity, in addition to being able to set itself apart from Spider-Man. Still, I assume they’re probably just going to pretend that the character is still a teen, even after the actor who plays him becomes an adult. I mean, Tom Holland was 20 when they filmed Spider-Man: Homecoming, and he played a 15 year old.

They could use CGI to change his appearance. Although that may be terrifying.

Daniel Radcliffe was 22 when he filmed his last Harry Potter flick, so what's your point? There have been people in their 30's who have played high school teenagers (does anyone remember Happy Days?) should they decide to make him stay in high school. I think if you want a grounded Shazam film, it will go with an aging character (just like the Wizzard did) and will end in about 3 films.
