Huge pressure is mounting on Sebastian Vettel. Following Charles Leclerc's impressive performance in Bahrain, Ferrari 'number 1' Vettel denied that being overtaken by his teammate and then spinning was due to pressure. "To be honest, I think it's not about pressure," said the German. "Obviously my race could have been better, so I need to analyse a lot." Vettel admitted that while Ferrari improved dramatically after Australia, he is not feeling as good at the wheel of the 2019 car as Leclerc. "I will be happy to get back behind the wheel at the test this Wednesday," he said. "I think we have work to do." It is an apparently calm reaction by Vettel amid a growing storm of unrest in Italy.
The Italian press crowned Leclerc Ferrari's new "golden boy", and railed against the more experienced and highly-paid Vettel's continuing mistakes.
La Repubblica said Vettel lost "his front wing and his nerve" in Bahrain, and added: "Leclerc is the true rival of Lewis Hamilton."
Corriere della Sera said the quadruple world champion was "humiliated" by Leclerc last weekend.
And La Gazzetta dello Sport said Ferrari returns to Maranello from Bahrain "with one certainty and two problems".
"The certainty is Charles Leclerc, and the two problems are reliability and Sebastian Vettel," the influential sports daily declared.
La Stampa was even more blunt, advising Vettel to "get a mental coach and shave the moustache".
Corriere dello Sport said: "Ferrari looks to a future in which there is no room for Vettel.

The italian press is terrible when it comes to Vettel. Kimi was underperforming for years and they never butchered him as much as they did Vettel. Will they butcher their new golden boy if he bins his car? I doubt it. I mean seriously, its like saying Hamilton is done because Bottas beat him with 35 seconds at Australia.
Also, I think they forgot that Ferrari has a habit of fucking themselves with stupid strategies. And its only been two races, we have no clue what's going to happen.
I agree about the moustache though. With the red ferrari suit, he looks like super mario.

Seems a bit previous to be making assertions like that.

Seems a bit previous to be making assertions like that. Same thoughts here. In the opening race of the season Ferrari totally underperformed. So there was no way of knowing driver talent. In Bahrain Leclerc did look better but it is extremely childish to come to conclusions after just one brilliant performance by a youngster. May be vettel just had a bad day? May be there were more problems with his car than known. So it is immature of Italian press to come to the conclusion they have even if their assertion proves eventually right.

Ricciardo or even Alonso could have done better in the last few years with Ferrari than Kimi.
Although there have been only two races, it appears that Ferrari is way faster than Merc (based on the 2nd race). I wonder if that trend is likely to persist over the season. It does seem that we are in for a good time this season. I certainly enjoyed the previous race.

I really hope Red Bull can put themselves in the mix. But it seems like the last few years, they are behind at the start of the season.

I really hope Red Bull can put themselves in the mix. But it seems like the last few years, they are behind at the start of the season. I am a Ferrari hater but I surely want to see them lose in the last race only. I used to be a Mika Hakkinen's fan and as a result a McLaren supporter. But McLaren has been out of picture in recent times so I don't have a team. But I do support Hamilton as I see him as a good adversary to Ferrari.
Verstappen has been consistent so far in two races. Don't think Red Bull has the best car but they can still have good finishes.

Im never a fan of a team perse. I was a Schumacher fan back in the day, now I support Verstappen. I have been watching F1 since 1994, so seeing him win for the first time, the first dutch F1 victory, it was amazing. One of my top sports moments ever. As for McLaren, you've had it rough the last few years, only Williams supporters are in a worse situation now. But McLaren is doing pretty ok this season so far. Car looks a lot better. It looks like Alonso really is cursed. Im not a Hamilton supporter, but damn, he is good.
