I watched this movie maybe ten years ago, but I don't remember the name or anyone who was in it. I only remember one detail from the film clearly. I think it was made between 2000 and 2010 or so and was a low-budget, direct to video type film. I'm pretty sure it was either American or Canadian.
Some friends meet at a cabin in a wooded area for a holiday get together. Maybe one friend didn't show up and they couldn't reach them, I'm not sure. In fact I think they couldn't reach anyone by phone. Not that there was no signal, but that the calls just wouldn't go through. I think it was implied that it was the end of the world and they were some of the last survivors, although this may have been revealed at the end or just what the characters believed. Weird stuff happens, I think one of them (I don't remember who) gets possessed and they kill that person. Or they try to, I think they managed to incapacitate them, but they wouldn't die.
The one scene I am absolutely sure about is that they dragged the person/body a ways away from the cabin and burned them/it. When they went back the next day to check, the body was burned to a crisp, but still moving.
I think it even started talking, telling them that they were doomed, etc, but I think it was still incapacitated and just lying there. I think this happened, because I have a vague memory of the scene losing some of the creepiness when the undead corpse started having a conversation with them. It was creepier when it was just a mysterious thing twitching, rather than something you could talk to.
I don't remember what happened after that or how the movie ended.
I can rule out;
The Cabin in the Woods Evil Dead (all of them) Demon Wind Torchwood: Miracle Day (just so someone doesn't suggest the burned corpse scene from that show)

No, it wasn't that well known, or big budget. I don't think there were any really well-known stars in it.
