A short tid bit was released by local law enforcement today regarding the Maura Murray case.
NORTH HAVERHILL, N.H. —
An investigation underway Wednesday in North Haverhill is related to the Maura Murray case, sources told WMUR.
Sources told WMUR that authorities with New Hampshire State Police, the attorney general's office and the FBI are in the area of the scene on Route 112 where Murray crashed 15 years ago.
Murray, a 21-year-old University of Massachusetts-Amherst student, has not been seen since she was involved in a single-car crash on the night of Feb. 9, 2004.
Her disappearance has sparked years of theories about what happened to her. The case has also been the subject of an Oxygen television series and a popular podcast.
Previously, officials in the attorney general’s office have said that not all adult missing persons cases are concerning, but given the circumstances, Murray’s case is very concerning, and that's why there has been an ongoing criminal investigation.
