The name when associated with a woman is because she has multiple dead husbands. Meaning she is the cause of their death. Y'know, like the spider. Yes and they say "black" meaning bad/lethal.
Black = bad.
They say black because it's the color and name of the spider.

You mean like when Mike Cernovich went after James Gunn for years old tweets? You're still in a tizzy over that. Talk about triggered. Well child molestation and abuse is usually considered a more serious matter than what I am referring to here. It's the same thing you're bitching about. Angry activists got a hold of a (deliberately) misconstrued idea and the whole thing got blown out of proportion. Months later cranks on message boards are still talking about Hollywood pedophilia cults.

You posted this! What don't you understand? I was looking at the lights? You don't seem to understand that the term "black widow" when applied to a human does not mean only a spider, it is meant as a negative or dangerous connotation. In fact, when the character first appeared she was a bad character--so the name was coined with negativity in mind. It's not my fault the facts line up against you! This stuff is so obvious.

When applied to a human, this refers to a woman who kills her husband/s or at least a woman whose husband/s usually end up dead. At most, it can be used to refer to femme fatales. That still doesn't imply that the word "widow" or "black" is somehow derogatory. In fact, nothing here is derogatory. Dangerous, sure.

I already pointed this out to you in a previous post, genius. Yes, it has a negative connotation because she was a villain. And she's named after the spider. She even has electric blasts called widow bites. Black Widow, named after the spider which is indeed deadly and black. All this silliness because you failed to understand the most basic of concepts. You showed us your ass with that 'joke,' but honestly it isn't any dumber than the rest of the stuff you've been saying so we shouldn't be surprised.
"The name is suggesting black is bad. Where are the SJWs?" You even tried to argue the spider isn't black in real life. Painful stuff, I don't know how you get through life being this ignorant.
I'm done with this thread. I'm sure you can find another crackpot conspiracy to fill the hours, though. Thanks man, it's been fun.

I remember, the internet got all up in arms over it, Jeremy Tenner thought it was funny.
So did I actually, nobody can take a joke anymore.

The negative or dangerous connotation is because of the spider. Hell, they can call them mantis, but since they are a widow, black widow is a better fit.
