Had this thought while watching Shazam last night.
Most DCEU fight scenes start off great but they tend to run too long and overstay their welcome.
It's not exactly the length of the scene, I don't mind long action scenes as long as they keep doing different things. But DCEU fight scenes tend to get long enough that their moves start to get repetitious.
Not all their fights of course, but there's at least one fight scene in their movies that run this way. This was the case in MoS, BvS, WW, Aquaman, JL and now Shazam.

They also tend to mostly consist of bodies slamming into each other over and over as opposed to actual fighting techniques. There are exceptions of course.
Also, the climactic battle of virtually all DCEU movies is a huge CGI fest with lots of "lightning" and bodies crashing through walls, etc. And who could forget the giant circle of garbage in the sky for the final battle in "Suicide Squad".

I do remember thinking Shazam and Sivana needed to "wrap it up" at the end there.
Otherwise I loved this fucking movie!

Yeah, towards the end I was like, "Okay, either pull out some new moves or just end this already." Still was an enjoyable movie, just one of the few nitpicks I had with it.

Yeah, body tackles and bull rushing are definitely overused in their movies. It's their #1 go to move.

'Suicide Squad', not so much.
