I watched the whole of season one of Project Blue Book. "Littlefinger" holds it together and it's nowhere near as hokey as I expected. It is based on the memoirs/diaries of real life Dr. J. Allen Hynek, played by Aiden Gillan, who was co-opted by the US military to report on UFO sightings and that gives the stories some credibility. There are a couple of sub-plots that intrigue as well. Worth a look. What is curious to me about the alleged UFO sightings is that I am unaware of any reported sightings from the rest of the world. This was a purely American v The Others thingy By the way, never heard of Dark Skies

Penny Dreadful could have been great if it was given some more time.

The Knick Boardwalk Empire
Lots of miniseries - - I seem to be more attracted to them recently.

In recent years:
The Knick
Ripper Street
Copper
Titanic: Blood & Steel
Almost Human
Going to back a few decades, I also really dug Strange Luck. It only got one season back in the mid-90s.

Two that come to mind:
Veronica Mars Spooks ("MI-5" in North America)
Non-English language:
La Casa de Papel (Netflix Spain - "The Money Heist" in English, I think) El Ministerio del Tiempo (also Spanish, and I think also available on Netflix, though not a Netflix production) - time-travel adventures of agents of the "Ministry of Time", in charge of preventing changes to Spanish history.
Il Commissario Montalbano - Italian crime drama that takes place in a small town in Sicily

My personal blockbusters are Angel, Buffy and Twin Peaks, but the best of the rest would include - Good man!

I like the setting and the characters and the "Italianess" of it. The plot lines, not always.
It looks like there were two new episodes that aired in Italy this past February that may not have reached Britain yet.

Agreed. Hopefully we get those two new ones in May or June. The writer of the novels gave a rare interview in the Guardian the other day: www.theguardian.com/world/2019/apr/05/montalbano-italians-fascism-andrea-camilleri
