If so, you're better than Chris Davis!
After going 0 for 4 with two strikeouts during the Orioles' loss to the Yankees on Sunday, Baltimore first baseman Chris Davis is on the brink of an MLB record no one wants.
Davis is encroaching on the longest hitless stretch in baseball history, failing to record a knock in 44 consecutive at-bats dating back to last season. He's started the 2019 campaign 0-for-23 with 13 strikeouts.
The last hit Davis recorded was a second-inning double off of the White Sox' James Shields on Sept. 14.

Probably not unless I spent at least a few months training.

So envious that he's on nutsberryfarm 🏜's team! Chris Davis is batting the same as former Oriole Matt Wieters, although Davis has 46 more AB than Wieters.

I'd be lucky if I ever made contact with a pitch. I was a shitty hitter when I actually played baseball and that was nearly a decade ago.

Honestly, why haven’t the Orioles dumped him? The team is trying to put 2018 behind them and all anyone can talk about is Davis. It will be a media event when he gets a hit and raises his average from.000 to .020. Whee. No one will take a dollar of this deal, he’s eating a roster spot, he’s blocking Trey Mancini from 1b and he’s embarrassing the team and himself. Cut him, you have to pay him anyway, just move on and let the circus die.

Could the Orioles negotiate something with Davis to turn his contract into a Bobby Bonilla type deal? Or is it best for them to just eat it now and continue to suck until it's done?

And he gets a single and two RBI. Rick Porcello creases a "fastball" to him.
The Red Sox kajillion dollar rotation is not earning their money. 1-8 so far.
Eovaldi - 8.40 ERA, 1.867 WHIP Ed Rodriguez - 7.89 ERA, .705 WHIP Sale - 9.00 ERA, 1.538 WHIP Price - 6.00 ERA, 1.250 ERA Porcello - 13.50 ERA, 3.156 WHIP, and not looking good today.
All this for $88,425,000.
Yes, it's early, yes, they can turn it around, yes, you don't win pennants in April, yes, the Yankees don't look good. But still, Sale, Porcello and Eovaldi look dismal. And it's not just bad luck. Sale's velocity is off, Porcello walks everyone, Eovaldi just is ineffective.
