Do it Marvel. Do it already. What else you got to lose?
TEXT:
Screen Rant is able to exclusively reveal that both McFeely and Markus would be onboard to write the screenplay for a Secret Wars movie. After telling the writers that the Russo Brothers said they wanted to make Secret Wars, we asked the writing duo if they would be onboard as well, to which Markus replied, "I have to read ‘Secret Wars’ again. It’s literally ben ten thousand years" and McFeely commented, "If Joe and Anthony do another Marvel movie and they don’t have us write it, I will be personally offended". When elaborating on McFeely's comment, Markus joked, "Yeah, there’ll be problems at home".

They've made a good team so far, so why not?

For sheer scale and audacity, NOTHING could beat a Secret Wars movie (except for a Crisis movie which WB doesn't seem interested in). It would be the absolute last word in cinematic super-heroics --- a proverbial CBM mike drop for the ages.
There's a lot to unpack here though. The most important aspect of this psychotic endeavor would be, are they only interested in appropriating the name for a loose-as-a-goose adaptation or will they take us to the real Battleworld?
Are they thinking of the 1984 original (which is bonkers) or the 2015 reimagining (which is beyond bonkers)?
I could see why they'd want to do it. It's pure superhero madness without any filter or filler (well maybe there's a little filler).

If they're going to go gonzo, I'd rather see Earth X. Though I'd prefer that as a mini-series on their streaming service. I wouldn't expect Secret Wars for a while, because there are so many moving parts and honestly, where do you go from there?

What the fuck is Secret Wars? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're too lazy to look it up.
Secret Wars was a big crossover event where a powerful, cosmic entity called The Beyonder teleported some of Earth's heroes and villains to a planet he made, called 'Battleworld' and told them to fight it out, saying the winner would get whatever they wanted. It's perhaps most notable for being Peter Parker's first encounter with 'the symbiote' which would later become Venom.

Sounds like the Beyonder is a rip-off of Mongul and Battleworld is a rip-off of Warworld.

[/quote] They're nothing a like, Battleworld is a place that's made up of locations from different areas and patched together. So you'd have a bit of New York, a bit of Asgard, a bit of Wakanda etc. Beyonder is also a cosmic being who wasn't really evil. Warworld is something of an actual weapon that can travel around, kinda like the Death Star from Star Wars. Mongul is just a evil tyrant who tries to take over planets like Frieza.

scabab it's a wonder that Mongul and the Warworld actually haven't been chosen as the big bad yet. He'd be a cool JL threat.
