Just a theory: I feel like the MCU is gearing up for a more female-dominated future in their films.
We heavily suspect that Captain America will be killed off in Endgame and Captain Marvel will take his place as leader of the Avengers. The MCU is pushing Black Widow more to the forefront and she'll (finally) be getting her own movie. The news about the new Hawkeye series is that Clint will eventually be passing the torch to Kate Bishop. There were some rumors that Valkyrie was going to take over the mantle of Thor. Pepper Potts might become Rescue. Jane Foster is rumored to make a comeback. And maybe Shuri's nickname is actually Riri and she becomes the new Ironman.
What do you guys think?

Ifa anything they'll just have take over the mantle of Black Panther (as she did in the comics) for a little bit in of the Black Panther movies.
Below is Brooke Ence, my pick for a female Thor (though I do like the idea of Valkyrie/Tessa Thompson becoming female Thor too).

Forget female Thor, she'd make a better She-Hulk methinks.

Forget female Thor, she'd make a better She-Hulk methinks. Don't you think they'd go CGI if they ever did She-hulk? How unusual would it look if they did a real woman painted green along side CGI Hulk? Plus, she's too short for She Hulk, I think they'd want her to be taller than a real person.
But if it weren't for that, yeah I'd vote for them doing something like that.

Personally I'd prefer that they didn't CGI She-Hulk. When you look at how Hulk is drawn in comics, he's an absolute monster. There's no way a human can ever match his size and muscularity. In comparison when you look at how She-Hulk is drawn, mostly she just looks like a very muscular woman. Other than the height, her physique is somewhat achievable by high-end female bodybuilders. So yeah, I'd prefer they didn't CGI her body. I'd prefer if they simply used proper make-up shading techniques to emphasize her physique, and maybe limit the CGI to help enhance it. Then use camera tricks to make her look taller.

I don't expect Captain Marvel to become the leader of the Avengers. Unless it happens in the comics, in which case, sure, but I don't think she'd be very good. It's hard to follow somebody with her powers into battle, unless you're powers are near equal to hers or greater.
Black Widow movie I'll believe when I see it. I'm not opposed, but I think it's kind of late.
I don't know who Kate Bishop is. I don't recall the name from any of the movies.
I could see Valkyrie taking a mantle from Thor. He'd have to die though.
I dunno about Pepper Potts. I read Gwyneth Paltrow is done with the MCU, which I'm great with because I've consistently not liked her in the role since the beginning.
Jane Foster. If she comes back it'll probably have to be in another form. Animated or at a different stage of her life because I'm pretty sure Natalie Portman is done with the MCU too.
I've no reason to believe Shuri will become Iron Man unless that's something that happens in the comics too.
I would have though Shuri, if anything, would take over being Black Panther. I'd like to see Valkyrie be Thor like but that would involve some serious upgrades.
The Black Widow movie is the one that peaks my interest. It's so late, a solo movie in the fourth (or fifth?) phase for a character that's been around since the first?
If the MCU gets female, I think/hope it happens with the X-Men.

Not if he eases into a kingly role like Odin. Valkyrie could be the warrior protector of the realm while Thor rules as king.

I'll leave it in their hands (as if I have a choice). If Valkyrie is unencumbered by physical limitations then I think she'd make a devoted and sassy Thor replacement. That's a big if, considering anybody who can take a star to the face has big shoes to fill.

Not a chance. It's well-known that MCU Dictator Kevin Feige hates having female lead characters. That's why it took MCU 20 movies and over 10 years to finally make a female-led movie and MCU only made Captain Marvel as a reaction to WB announcing a Wonder Woman movie first. That's also why MCU made women such weak and cowardly characters in Black Panther.

But in this day and age of CGI overload you just know that's the way they'll go.

That is a strong possibility now that you mention all these things. Well I made up the last one regarding Shuri being Riri, though you have to admit they're presenting her as the new tech genius after Stark. The rest of the stuff I mentioned were legitimate rumors backed up by news articles though.

There's no way Paltrow becomes Rescue on a permanent basis. Please get someone other than Portman if Jane Foster makes a comeback. Valkyrie-Thor and Kate Bishop Hawkeye would be welcome additions to the future lineup. I've always been a Captain Marvel fan so the more we get of her the better. I have no idea what they're going to do with Black Widow going forward. I'd like to see more of her but they probably want to focus on new characters. (Yes, I still want the Black Widow movie, even if it's a prequel.) I'd be fine with Shuri as IM (RDJ isn't going to do it forever) but I don't think that's the direction they'll take her character. In any event, though I expect female characters to have a larger role in the MCU going forward, I don't expect some radical shift in philosophy where the women in the franchise start outnumbering the men.

I hope so! The only downside is having to deal with the Anti-SJW and the anti-feminist douchebags who will scream about how women are ruining things or some other stupid bullshit.

I can't even grab a woman's ass in the office anymore. Soon my wife will expect me to start respecting her.
