Not really. But there are shows I would stop on while channel surfing, and think "what is this rubbish?" before ultimately realizing I absolutely loved them. aaaw yes! that i am also familiar with. happened to me with Superstore. I remember thinking “well this show is pretty stupid”. And lo and behold 4 seasons later I am in love with it.

I’ll never understand watching a show you hate simply to revel in the hatred. you dont revel in the hatred, not at all. the hatered/annoyance is a negative emotion that you dont seek, when hate watchig. you dont go after feeling the hate you go after the show in spite of the hate I dont enjoy feeling hate. but the quality of the show ultimatelly triumphs it so i keep coming to it even though the main protagonist makes me angry.

No. If I hate it, why would I watch it? There are so many alternatives. thats what makes it so odd that it still happens. i guess it only happens to me on Real high wuality shows, that I get annoyed by for some personal reason perhaps. But on the overall level I do see and connect to its quality. Its not like I sit here hating my life because O have to watch the dreadful show. I voluntarily go bacl tomit, but Still get very annoyed by it and frustrated at times during watching it. but now the show is over and i find myslef wanting more. even though the main character pisses me off so much. weird thing. wanted to know if it happens to others/ It seems you are a somewhat demented nuh-fuzz. Are you into sexual bondage?

Are you into sexual bondage? why the name calling? Or leap into sexual preferences? if you are hinting at masochism, i dont think thats applicable. when hate watching you dont enjoy the “hate”. you would much rather it didnt have the annoying element. plus the good still outweights the bad, you see?

I had a different notion of what you meant by hate watch then. However I will say that if the quality of a show and my enjoyment of the show trump any dislike I have for the show then I don’t ‘hate’ watching it. Perfect example of this for me is Hell on Wheels. Liked the first season...was ok with the second season but hated how it ended so much so that I’ve no desire to continue watching. My dislike overtook my like and I stopped.

The name calling was just my observations of all your posts. And notice I intentionally posted 'it seems like' so as to express to you that this wasn't insulting you, but telling you what 'it seems like' that to me. I am entitled to my opinion, am I not? You enjoy the hate, which is why I ASKED the bondage question. If you watch something so you can experience hate, I think my question as to whether you enjoy pain is legitimate. I believe you are overreacting, which leads me to the conclusions that I MIGHT actually correct in my assumptions. And yet, life goes on.

I believe you are overreacting, which leads me to the conclusions that I MIGHT actually correct in my assumptions. And yet, life goes on. just something to think about: which person is over reacting? the person that resorts to name callling (and then uses the opinion caveat, as if someone was trying to tell them thet cannot have whatever opinion they chose) or the person that simply asks why someone chose to go that route, without adding anything insulting or even remotelly emotional? And I raised it with you also because you have shown your readiness to name call (and jump to conclusions related to sexuality) before, and it stands out. anyway - as explained to you above, its not about enjoying the “hate” (let alone pain :-D). the “hate” is a secondary element, primary one is recognizing the shows quality, which is so high, that it overpowers the unpleasant feeling of annoyance you have for one aspect of it.

There are some shows that I really wanted to like, so I watched them longer than I would have otherwise, but no. If I know I don't like something, I generally try to avoid it when possible. On the other hand, I liked some shows before they jumped the shark, but I kept watching them anyway. Does that count as "hate-watching"? I think not. If you "like some shows" as you say, that is certainly not hate watching. On the other hand, I hate Fox News almost as much as I hate CNN but I find that if I watch both, I can read between the lines and get a clearer picture of the world. yeah i do that too. watch news from both sides even though one (sometimes both) is usually quite unpleasant to watch. but it really gives you a good overall view into both worlds so its worth it for me.

now that i think of it, I had similar feelings when I started to watch Louis. The first season was almost unbearable for me to watch. Yet its exceptionally clever writing kept me interested.
And Better Things is created and cowritten by Louis CK.. so... maybe its mostly his style of the depressing/ annyoingly dark/gross/real “comedy” he writes that does this to me.

Do you have a show that you dislike, that annoys you or even enrages you, and/or you dont really get it but you keep coming back to it because of its overall quality? I have had two like that in my life 1. Crazy ex GF. I recognize the quality of that show but I hate Rebecca and the way show deals or rather doesnt deal with her. 2. Better Things - same thing. the show is So Well written an has such great acting. But I often cant stand Sam. I almost wanna punch her in the face and yell at her in some episodes because she is often so unecessarily arrogant and mean to people but so weak toward her kids for some reason, and gross too. But I do watch it on and on, because its so good overall. br] do you have anything like that? I don't hate watch anything. But yesterday my friends and I watched "The Prefect Romance". One of the dumbest movies we have ever seen. It was corny, corny, corny. We laughed through the whole thing. (I hate the TV show "Friends". I don't hate watch it. But sometimes I watch it with the Mute on. Because the dialogue and plots are stupid. But I love Courtney Cox.) images.app.goo.gl/TGfazgTkaqzYfp9J6

I've watched movies that I knew I wouldn't like but I can't see myself doing that for a whole TV show.

I've watched movies that I knew I wouldn't like but I can't see myself doing that for a whole TV show. its rare for me. so far in my entire life it happened only with two shows and i started off liking them but then was slowly getting more and more annoyed with the main character. but at that point i was already hooked on the cleverness of the show. oh well. but i do take big brakes especially with Crazy Ex Gf, who annoys me a lot.

On the other hand, I liked some shows before they jumped the shark, but I kept watching them anyway. Does that count as "hate-watching"? That is what we do with some of the shows we watch here. There are some I really liked in the earlier seasons that have gone downhill in the later seasons but I keep watching them 'cause I want to see how they end and I find some of them still do have a few good episodes every now and then. Some might disagree with me but I think Season 11 of 'Supernatural' with the Darkness was one of the best seasons of the entire show.![](https://i.postimg.cc/nc5k3pw7/free-bouncy-skitty-icon-by-kattling-d6ur78h.gif)

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
And no, I don't hate watch anything. Who the hell has time for stupid shit like that? There's barely enough time in the day to watch all the good stuff. I'm going to waste that precious time watching crap?
Dumbass thread.

I'm going to waste that precious time watching crap? Dumbass thread. apparently there are people that do have time for shit like that. cant tell you who the other ones are, but I am one of them. I understand the concept wouldnt make sense to many. Upon further reflection I think its a tru testament to a particular show. That its so good that even though something about it annoys/enrages you, you keep watching. Would hardly happen with a stupid show. And like I said, it has only happened to me with 2 shows during my entire life so That Kind of quality is rare. Sorry you dont have time to watch all the good stuff you want to watch. Hope it gets better for you soon.
