The Olympic Stadium didn't exist in 1969. It was built for the 1976 Olympic Games.

I hope they bring back baseball in Montreal but I hope they don't bring back that name, the Expos, perhaps the dumbest name for a sports team. Named after the worlds fair that happened in Montreal that year, talk about a name that has no meaning afterwards. Made zero sense. Even the WNBA has better names.

Ou est M. Boccabella?
One thing I remember about the old Expos as John Boccabella and the way Jarry Park's announcer drew out his last name.

Backstop grandstand still standing, as a quarter of the current ATP/WTA* Canadian Open centre court Montreal. (*Toronto & Montreal nicely hold both tournaments in the same week, alternating men's & women's host duties every year)
