I thought she literally said ‘they don’t like the north.’ Or something similar. I don't understand this whole "dragons not eating" thing and where they're going with it. Sansa said they didn't have enough food for everyone and Dany said they eat "whatever they like." So, the dragons aren't eating but what are they supposed to be eating anyway? Livestock? People? Maybe I'm reading too much into it. If the scene was put there to get a laugh out of Jon's dragon riding ability....well....um....okay. 🤔 i dont recall the exact line, but they "only" ate 18 goats and 3 cows ( or something like that ) i guess they have to weaken them somewhat ( to make the battles more fair )

There was an awful lot of smiling in this episode. Pretty strange when the end of the world is imminent. Maester Aemon: "Nothing makes the past as sweet a place to visit as the prospect of imminent death..."

I wonder what Jonsa's interpretation would have been on first episode's scenes. It would have taken a lot of imagination to make us understand how Jon is madly in love with Sansa and how he is playing Dany and how Dany is a coward. at least i have one ( imagination) miss me? dany is a coward she scared poor northern peasant people with her dragons flying above because boo -hoo they dont like her and her arrogant smirk on her face said it all great going there scare people with dragons to like you -can she earn respect ?? she doesnt deserve any from sansa or anybody else. Jon is playing dany and it was confirmed by what he told sam after he revealed to him daenerys burned his family-jon looked horrified to hear what she did and told sam WE NEED TO WIN THIS WAR basically they need her armies and dragons so in other words lets keep quiet keep the peace until we defeat WW so YES thats playing HER , lets not forget the cold waterfall scene with 0 chemistry paralleled to what ygritte told jon seasons ago they should stay in the cave forever dany wants to stay at the waterfall for thousand years even though her dragons hate the north her words not mine , what an airhead maybe she will get her wish perhaps NK turns her into his night queen and she can stay there for thousand of years oh and by the way weren't you one of those who kept telling me that sam wont care that dragon queen burned his family? OOPS guess who was wrong? YOU and guess who was right ?? ME this is only the beginning you will be wrong about so many other things . I forgot the best and last part about jon loving sansa i dont need to make you to understand anything but for argument sake it was kinda spelled out for you and you still dont understand , when jon went privately to sanas room and they had that discussion about dany how good of a queen she will be to all of them sansa asked him the most important question i think of all time if he bent the knee to save the north or because he loved her?? and jon didnt answer LMAO jon wants to make things better between his family and dragon queen but for some reason he cant answer sansa if he loves this woman  i think if he did he should have , anyway im glad that happened because finally for the first time in 2 seasons we get to see sansa feelings about jon and it was clear as day ,whoever says otherwise you have blinders on ,jon loves sansa not dany . and why is it a fighting conversation has more chemistry and angst than a couple kissing in front of a waterfall ? oh i know its probably the dragons fault staring at jon when he was kissing dany LMAO

Dany maybe many things but she ain't a a coward. A coward doesn't go to save the lives of other risking her own.
Re Jonsa theory: I kind of feel bad forJonsa fans because there was no hint for Jonsa theory in the first episode. In fact, there was everything for Jonerys fans to celebrate. In any case, it won't be long before we know. Just 5 weeks to go.
Re: Me being dictator - If I remember correctly we have only had one instance in last two years where we disagreed. Okay, may be I shouldn't have got annoyed by Jonsa theory. Fans do have right to believe in whatever they want to. So sorry about that. For now, let's just wait for the finish. We can of course talk about other issues by being friends.

And they smell even worse than wolves  Jon being political about the whole thing is a valid explanation of the "obvious lack of chemistry" everyone complains about. These are professional actors in a show that spent two years on 6 episodes, they do not "fuck up" their scenes and move on fast because of time or budget constraints. We see just what they want us to see. And remember, Jon already played Ygritte in the cave after she threatened to believe he remained loyal to his vows. He grew to love her, but he wasn't sincere. He went through it like Cersei with Euron except he might actually have enjoyed the opportunity, torn between desire and sense of honour. Jon's lack of answer to Sansa, on the other hand, is a sure sign of inner conflict. He cannot tell her he's just whoring himself for the sake of the war. He could if it were the case. He cannot because he does feel something and we are back to the root of this story: conflicted characters having to make tough choices. Jon's decisions with regard to Daenerys will be tough, he won't be able to say he just "played" her.

Jon does not manipulate people naturally. If he has to, and he had to with Ygritte before, he dislikes it and probably feels shame for it. It's not honourable but it's necessary. Yet it also seems he does want something from Daenerys. He wouldn't have gone to her at the end of S7 otherwise. So there must be an attraction he tries to refrain too. It will get worse when he learns she's his aunt. More inner conflict.
Maybe that's why he is awkward with her.
Daenerys also has reasons to refrain herself. She came to take the Iron Throne, now she is fighting something else because some pretty guy asked her to. She can do the right thing but will she allow herself to "fall" for him? She wanted to be his queen, not his wife, right? Could that play a role in her behaviour?
I might be completely off the rails here, I haven't seen the stuff.

I don't think Dany survives this one so even when Jon will be left without Dany he wouldn't go Sansa route. It will be over in a few weeks anyway.

Leo jon loves sansa period , now as for the rest jon is just being political and trying foolishly to save the north by inviting a targaryen into northern lands she is not welcome no one likes her there no one wants her to be thier queen , including his best friend sam its very simple jon went to dany S7 thinking if he slept with her he can get her trust completely and he only did so after day revealed to him she cant have children plus he has davos over his head the match maker wanting a marriage alliance between dany and jon because they make a "handsome" couple but varys shut that down really fast nothing lasts forever he said .. I also think jon slept with dany to suppress shameful feelings he has for sansa its different when you are lovers with someone who has so much power armies and dragons , plus jon did this once before with ygritte and got away with it ,will he get away with it this time? i hope so but dany has a dark side a ruthless side and it really came out strong in episode one plus ygriette had arrows no dragons ..LOL lets hope in case dany wants to execute jon for loving sansa that the dragons dont obey her dracarys command. Jon asked sansa to have faith in him and sansa replied you know i do .
