Did anyone see Kit Harington do his hosting turn on Saturday Night Live a couple of Saturdays ago?
It was almost shocking how much he wasn't Jon Snow. Without the facial hair and man bun he looked completely different. He wasn't head-turning handsome and he is somewhat short. He looked closer to ordinary than dreamy.
In the sketches he used an American accent and this accent was flat and annoying unlike his plummy Scottish accent on GoT.
He was funny, though. Good at comedy.

I had the exact same reaction when I saw him on SNL. It's amazing how actors can transform themselves into completely different people.
Without the beard and bravado and Jon Snow character, he was such a plain, little guy.

I didn't know he was married to Ygritte. That makes me happy. And she looked great!

It was fun to see Ygritte and Danaeris in the audience looking contemporary.

Yes, he is an actor. He puts on a mask and a composed attitude on screen, that's what these guys do. I keep seeing that Jon's romance with Daenerys looks forced and of course every moron commenting puts it on the actors' incompetence or lack of "natural chemistry", as if these were kids picked up from the next school play and not professionals, but I would bet it is intentionally made so.

It sure is. Depending on the angle of the photo and the style of her brown hair, most times I don't recognize Emilia Clarke until I read her name.

Their real life incarnation can be somewhat less flattering:
