For those few years, he was the most dominant pitcher in history. It was a pitching dominant time but look at the hitters Koufax had to face. Aaron, Mays, Clemente, McCovey, Banks Mathews, Brock, etc.
Then the Dodgers, knowing that his arm was falling off, had him throw 165 pitches in a preseason game. With pitch count, the Left Arm of God might have had another 7-10 years of unhittabity. And the βBonus Baby β rule which kept him from coming up through the minors hurt his career also. My wifeβs uncle seen all the greats, from Grove to Maddux, and he said they were children compared to Koufax.

This is one of those pictures that would really be so much better in color. I don't agree, but here ya go. I love that, is that a Photoshop filter you used? I think in B&W there's not enough contrast in the picture, it blends together too much.
