well,i watched this. it wasnt gripping at all. andrew garfield was simply not good enough. some nice visuals and directorial flourishes. i might read the book. man, christian evangelists were really persistent mofos.

Probably the only good thing to come out of this is another line in the canon of quotable Liam Neeson: "PRAY...BUT PRAY WITH YOUR EYES OPEN!"

some of the japanese actors were fantastic. ISSEI OGATA was sensational. he could well have become the new christoph waltz if this was a popular film. TADANOBU ASANO was awesome too. but then i guess they had easier roles than the american actors.
