absolutely not
jesus - it's April.
now if they disappoint 2 years from now at the trade deadline maybe it becomes a 'question'
wait - i forgot you mentioned Price - yeah - he could be gone trade deadline - lol - did he really mention Betts and Martinez in the same breath as himself - a major disappointment in the playoffs and he's a Vet - what a dickbag move - yeah - you could be gone Bub - don't drag others along with you stating you all may be traded - concentrate on yourself - especially since you blow in the playoffs.

that being said Martinez is 31 nope - still too early - and Betts would completely be off limits remember years ago when Hamels was being shopped - wish they took that Betts deal. rumor has it - if the Cubs and Giants who've underwhelmed thus far are out of it at the trade deadline - Hamels and Bumgarner will be on the block - want the Phils to make a push. Cubs pretty much got Hamels for nothing and I wanted him to 'come home'

Hell no, and I actually thought that was a clever move by Price. "Don't start booing us for underachieving, because it could be a hell of a lot worse."

My calendar says "April" Dave.
If the Sox still stink in June, then there could be some sell off. The payroll is ridiculous and the farm system is thin. JD could be the biggest trade chip. He has an opt out after this season that he will certainly exercise. He could bring some prospects at the trade deadline and, if he loves Boston like he says he does, they can bring him back on a friendlier contract. But I don;t see them trading Betts unless there's no choice. He will get a Trout/Harper deal when he becomes a FA. Can the Sox afford it?
The front office has made some dopey decisions. Extending Sale when it looked like his velocity was dropping. Signing Eovaldi (out 4-6 weeks) who was amazing last year but has had two TJ surgeries. Porcello. How long does JBJ's defense balance his atrocious hitting. How long can you justify a regular position player hitting .141 (only 11 points better than Chris Davis)? Anyone with half a brain could see this coming. But it won't be that bad. Still have Bogie, Devers, Ben in 10D. But it will be a disaster if Mookie walks in '21. Sox fans (me included) view him as the next truly great Red Sox. A Williams, A Yaz, an Ortiz. Maybe he will be another Fisk, another Boggs. Life will go on.
