Fun fact: did you know that Muggsy Bogues is actually 6'5"? They just used the same camera techniques in the NBA as they did in the Lord of the Rings trilogy to make Elijah Wood and Sean Astin look like little hobbits. In many ways, the camera work on Muggsy Bogues throughout his career was a like a proof-of-concept for Peter Jackson and the LOTR production team.

E:60 (ESPN) just did a terrific piece on him - how he went thru a tough time with his divorce - had a hard time being alone - and moved his brother in who was battling drug addiction to try and help him survive - pretty much how the 2 brothers helped each other get through a tough time.
Great piece.

It's hard to imagine there wasn't a better option than a 5'3" PG that couldn't score.

It's hard to imagine there wasn't a better option than a 5'3" PG that couldn't score. he had his # retired by the Hornets in the rafters
I think the thing of it is today's game is so different - it's not like Curry, Harden, Westbrook where you're '1s' can put up 40 every given night.
I think he was decent 'floor general' - i.e. the QB on the court - old school - in the fact he ran the set plays via halfcourt and thought pass first - i.e. had a good assist / turnover ratio. if memory serves there were some pretty decent Hornets on those teams - Larry Johnson, Alonzo Mourning, Rex Chapman, Del Curry (I think these guys were on that team - somebody correct me if I'm wrong) - all he pretty much had to do was take care of the ball and be a distributor - and could push the ball up the court in transition.
don't recall him being a defensive bulldog - but i'll bet with his size he could have been a pesky defender at times on the perimeter.
