And we have a genuine 3 way title race in the WorldSBK. Toprak and Rea tied on 311 points and Redding 38 points back. 3 different manufacturers too. Jonathan Rea's really being forced to work hard for a 7th World Championship.

What a bloody race in the MotoGP! So happy for Binder! He dared and it paid off. Shame Marquez crashed when he looked in a good position. Looked a chance of a fairytale podium for Rossi late in the race too. Fabio almost 2 races ahead now. He's making the title he choked away last year his this year. That was one hell of a race. Binder is a hero and deserved that win. Moto3 was a decent race too but Moto2 was a snooze fest. Hopefully things will liven up again when we get back to some proper circuits. It's definitely looking like Fabio's title, he seems the most consistent. How about Maverick getting fired?!?! I wonder if he'll step straight in to Aprilia at the expense of Lorenzo.

Jonathan Rea's really being forced to work hard for a 7th World Championship. World Supers are pretty good this year aren't they? I'm surprised how much Jonathan has struggled at Most and Navarra, i'm guessing it's because they've no historical data being brand new circuits and the team rely on it at more established circuits which allows Jonathan to dominate. We'll know at the next round i guess. Navarra looked brutally bumpy in places and not a fun place to race at. I'll at Indy Car in to the mix. With the exception of the second Indy Road Course race all the races have been excellent and the championship looks like it will go to the last round. The last two rounds at Nashville and Gateway were carnage!

That was a long qualifying session. George Russell starting from the front row, that’s unexpected.

Well the only thing about that was a podium for George. Otherwise, such a bad day.

This was both short and long.

I remember an IndyCar race at Surfers where the last 30 laps of the race (40 total) were under yellow. The officials were expected to call it after 36 laps but went 4 laps longer to force every car to pit twice. Michael Andretti, who'd planned for one stop, was very unimpressed. Not sure how you can declare a winner after two laps, but I think the driver who won this race deserved a bit of luck given a couple of other results this year.

I think this weekends racing is the first time i've not really enjoyed any of it. F1 qualifying was good and i was really happy for George. The other highlight was Seb checking on Lando after his crash. But race day was a shambles. It wasn't that long ago they would have raced.
MotoGP is now being spoiled by a shit hosting and commentary team.

But race day was a shambles. It wasn't that long ago they would have raced. Formula 1 painted itself into a corner this weekend. It started on Friday with a multiple pile up in the W series, with two drivers being taken to hospital, who were ruled out for the rest of the weekend. Then during qualy they did not heed Norris' warnings about the conditions, who promptly spun off, and was also taken to hospital. This race being conducted under the specter of Anthoine Hubert. Then they cocked up the initial start of the race, by not counting down the laps, which lead to Red Bull excitedly trying to get Perez back in to the race, as a result. So F1 had to find some way to save face under 'race time' pressure, and they further cocked it up. It was an embarrassment.

Max reclaims the title lead after a solid win at Dutch GP.

This is just amazing. After 36 years finally a Dutch gp and with a Dutch winner. Mercedes played it clever, but it wasn’t enough. Bottas going for that fastest lap makes me think George is getting that merc seat. Perez drove a very good race, such a shame about his qualifying.

A fair field and no favour in the WorldSBK. 3 superb races, all won by the Turk Razgatioglu after long duels with 6× reigning champion Jonathan Rea. Highlight was the Super Pole race where Rea appeared to have made the decisive move in the final sector only for Raz to regain the lead with an audacious move going into the final couple of chicanes. This kid is dead serious about dethroning the champ.

The last lap duel was brilliant and Toprak deserved the tripple but unfortunately they took that win away from him because of an utterly ridiculous amount of track limits violation. Those rules need to be amended because it's ruining racing F1 was meh. It's a great track and one of my favourites when racing sims and i was pleased to see it is just as epic for the F1 guys. Max and Lewis pretty much lapped the entire field. Role on 2022 which should hopefully tighten up the field.

It's been a pet peeve of a mine for a while the ridiculous "any mm of green on the last lap you lose a place," rule. I love Rea but protests like that make me want to see him get beaten. Well Kawasaki moreso than Rea. There seemed to be a lot of respect between the two riders and stuff like that just creates animosity. I enjoyed the duelling in the first 12-15 laps of the last race too.

I've been a Rea fan for a long time going back to his Red Bull Honda days in British Supersport but i have to admire how Toprak is riding, i don't think i've seen anyone brake like he does, amazing stuff. I'd like Rea to win the championship but i wouldn't mind if Toprak did. I believe Jonathan had nothing to do with the protest. I believe it was Kawasaki and most likely Pere. EDIT: Actually I've just caught up on the racing news after getting in from work and it does look like Jonathan got Pere to look in to Toprak's track limits violation. This is very disappointing

Bottas has signed a multi year contract with Alfa Romeo. Mercedes will probably present Russell tomorrow.
