Amazing start for Max. It’s a shame Perez couldn’t take p2. After a shit weekend of football , I’m glad it ended with this great win for Max.

That was an impressive performance from Max. It's looking like he's got the measure of Lewis now and it's his championship to lose. It was a pretty boring race though. So was MotoGP But Moto3 was a very good race. Congrats to Pedro Acosta, he owes Darryn Binder a pint

Crashes are all about when they happen. Fabio picked the best time possible for his first crash of the season. Last week Raul Fernandez picked the worst possible time for his. He'd be leading Moto2 by 7 points rather than trailing by 23 with a race to go. Foggia's crash was a similar worst time possible situation.
And Binder's coming up to MotoGP next year to much weeping and gnashing of teeth from other riders. Pecco suggesting F1 style super licenses to prevent riders jumping from Moto3 to GP.

Hamilton needs to get past Perez quickly otherwise it will be another easy win for max.

Congratulations to Australia's Remy Gardner: 2021 Moto2 World Champion. Following in his dad's footsteps. Interesting to see how he performs in MotoGP next year. Personally I think his team mate Raul Fernandez, who finished second in the championship, has the brighter future of the two.

I think it was a pretty decent race but not much happened in the midfield. I am not an expert but I thought Max ran Lewis out of the track but experts didn't think so. Overall, result was just what the neutral fans wanted.

From what i understand the stewards elected to let them race rather than spoil the spectacle with a penalty. I don't believe they had access to a cockpit view of Max's car so didn't know if he did it on purpose or not anyway.
I elected to not watch qualifying this weekend because the sprint format renders it pretty pointless. We watched the sprint though which was entertaining but we still think it's a rubbish idea. The race i enjoyed more than the last few, great drive from Lewis although heavily aided by a fresh donkey in the back.
Well that was the last MotoGP of the weekend and it's been a pretty disappointing year overall. There has been some highlights like Binders win in Austria on slicks in the wet and Marc's first win after injury in Germany but most of the rest of the year was forgettable. It was sad to see Valentino retire but the scenes at the end of yesterdays race were incredible. Every rider stopped to pay their respects to him, very emotional scenes.

More drama around the race than in the race, that was pretty straight forward. Besides the Perez/Hamilton and Max/Hamilton things, nothing really happend. I still dont know why Bottas thought they trew away an easy 1,2, the guy was lucky to end third. Man, that straight line speed of the Merc with a fresh ICE is insane.

Highlights for me were Bagnaia and Martin getting their first premier class wins, Aprilia getting their first podium, Miller winning races 4 and 5, Oliveira's win at Catalan, Mir squeezing everything he could out of an increasingly outmatched bike week in week out, Binder's win that you mentioned, Fabio's early season performances and the duels between Bagnaia and Marquez late in the season. The main things that hurt the season were the pandemic interrupting things and the breakdown in the relationship between Yamaha and Vinales which basically took out Fabio's main threat with Bagnaia only emerging as a genuine threat late in the year when Fabio had gone into his shell trying to protect his points lead. But I'd take this over the winning driver being 151 points clear of 2nd as happened in 2019.

But I'd take this over the winning driver being 151 points clear of 2nd as happened in 2019. It was nice to see Miller win a couple and Aliex getting a podium. They were highlights i should have mentioned. Thanks for pointing them out. The rest you mention we weren't bothered about really, we don't like Fabio and we're indifferent about Pecco, Joan or Miguel who seem to have manufactured corporate persona's who or good on a bike but not great. I watch the top flight motor sport series and events to witness supreme talent and that used to be Marc, before him Casey and to a certain extent before then Valentino. Therefore I don't mind seeing dominance and huge points leads. Maybe someone will come along soon who will ignite my passion for the sport again soon. It doesn't help i hate the commentary team this year too which is also the case for World Superbikes but i enjoyed watching what Toprak can do on the Yamaha so i think i'd give WSBK an edge over MotoGP this year which has never happened before.

Agree 100% about SBK this year. Much better than MotoGP. 3 strong manufacturers with Toprak really pushing that Yamaha to the limits. And I think I like Scott even though I think he's dreaming when he claims he'll get the same results on his BMW next year as he has for Ducati this year.

I've also enjoyed watching Jonathan these last few years, it's just that i enjoyed watching the dogfights between the likes of Marquez, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Dovi and Rossi a smidge more but without that happening this year WSBK has been where it's at. Greg is a good commentator and is fine when he's partnered by Whitham but BSB has clashed with WSBK pretty much every round once BSB started and Whit obviously prefers to stick to home ground so Greg got lumbered with Toseland who is useless.
I'm with you on Scott, it must be just wishful thinking, he must look at what Laverty (who we used to really rate as rider) has done on it in the last couple of years and cringe.

... Raul Fernandez, who finished second in the championship, has the brighter future of the two. Have you seen how well he did in the test today?

... Raul Fernandez, who finished second in the championship, has the brighter future of the two. Have you seen how well he did in the test today? I have now! Also apparently took the opportunity to throw his team under a bus and claim he's the moral champion. Stuff like that doesn't garner much sympathy from me. He finished second because he crashed out of the second to last race while leading and under no pressure. That's on him.

Could be a fun last round in the WorldSBK: raining cats and dogs in Indo. If Toprak has a spill then it's game on.

Congratulations Toprak: 2021 WorldSBK champion. Finished 2nd in Race One behind Jonathan Rea, who's run of 6 consecutive World Championships comes to an end. Happily, the end hasn't come because Rea had a poor year, but because another rider lifted his performance to an unbelievable level this season.
Another absorbing race with Rea, Raz and Redding frequently swapping positions.

Exciting start, boring middle, chaotic end. And did Toto sacrifice Bottas's luck for Hamiltons, the guy cant get a break.

Happily, the end hasn't come because Rea had a poor year, but because another rider lifted his performance to an unbelievable level this season. I'm really happy for Toprak who in my eyes is the most deserved champion so far, he's turned in to one hell of a rider! His dad would have been very proud if he would have been round to witness it all this year. The F1 race wasn't as boring as i thought it would be. It's mind boggling how fast Lewis and Max are compared to the rest of the field this year! It's going to be an interesting end to the title fight i reckon.
