My neighbours know Pataks Vindaloo paste is my favourite curry. They have bought me an industrial catering jar... 2.2L, 2.3KG of the delicious stuffπ₯ Thatchers Gold for scale.

If someone held a gun to your head do you think you could eat that whole jar in 30 minutes?!

If someone held a gun to your head do you think you could eat that whole jar in 30 minutes?! No. 2.3KG of Pataks Vindaloo Paste would be too much for anyone. It's not sauce, it's paste. Very hot π₯π₯π₯

Very hot π₯π₯π₯ Trouble with a big jar like that is that it won't keep. They probably recommend consuming the contents within a few weeks, even if kept in the fridge. Maybe you could decant some into a tupperware box and freeze it?

any protein or vitamins in there at all? It's a blend of over 20 spices and herbs, suspended in rapeseed oil. It is intense flavour and heat, not a meal in itself.

What sort of curries do you like to make using the paste? I imagine with this lot you could cook up a huge batch and freeze it for convenience.

Vindaloo colcannon.
That's posh that so it is... Think it's called 'fusion' cuisine, innit?

I quite like Indian food (had some butter chicken and palak paneer last Friday), but I draw the line at vindaloo.

It's a grand Irish/Indian fusion cuisine dish I have invented. Only mildly painful to eat... Gonna burn the arse off me in the morning on the way out though. Proper throbbing ringpiece job.
