Pretty much anything ESPN does E:60 wise or 30 for 30 wise.
Rips your guts out - typically stories of redemption and growth.
Just did one on Tony Mandarich - i.e. 'supposed' 1st Round Bust - who actually hung on for a respectable career but never lived up to the expectations of being drafted so high - went deep into his 'issues' with being young and fame - tremendous piece where you end up rooting for him.

....they did the same with Bosworth - i.e. the Boz a few years back - haters will hate - but after watching these pieces and you see a figure fall so far from stardom and then rise - you can't help but root for them - their production is great on all of these pieces......

If anybody is around a TV right now - E:60 is doing a piece on Enes Kanter - NBA Player
15 minutes in - but it's been great. Has gone into detail with Kanter's problems with his homeland Turkey - and how his Dad pretty much disowned him in the media in Turkey - where he apologized to the country for having such a bad son.

'Fire in Babylon' is a great documentary, even for non-cricket fans.

Catching Hell is one of those great ESPN ones. But I'd say that "Gleason" is right up there. It's one of the saddest documentaries I've ever seen but also one of the most inspiring. www.imdb.com/title/tt4632316/
