If you're not familiar with him, White is a known troll critic who gives bad reviews to every movie that is generally well-received, and conversely gives glowing reviews to movies nobody likes. Roger Ebert once defended him against haters, saying every critic should be free to give their opinion even if it goes against the majority...only to come back and be like, "Oh yeah, now that I've actually read his reviews, the dude is a troll".
