I guess we're in spoilers safe mode already...
I'd be lying if I wasn't anticipating some thunder & lightning style insta trim magic after his brilliant scene with his mother, esp. for the final battle field. Then again, a lesser Thor for Guardians 3 & Thor 4 is a bit more realistic. Thor 4 will probably even be a Thor-Valkerie combo like Ant-Man & Wasp. Valkerie will probably even hook up with Captain Marvel in that which is cool. What keeps Thorbowski acceptable for me is how out of shape MCU Odin has been.

They don't like strong white man Nordic types at Disney HQ. Yeah, Cap didn't give Thanos a good fight at all. Iron Man didn't wipe the guy out of existence or anything. Disney clearly hates white men and doesn't allow them to do anything. I've had this long running suspicion that the Avengers movies were purposely giving Thor the short end of the stick. I'll make a proper thread on that later after I've watched Endgame tonight. But yeah, I doubt it has got anything to do with his white maleness, not after we've seen the spotlight shone on Cap and Stark.

I didn't mind that he was fat or that they teased him about it, but did he have to be so darn incompetent and irresponsible? He literally had zero redeeming moments in the film.
He was either being a jerk, being useless or getting his ass kicked. I mean, I don't think he even fired a single bolt of lightning against Thanos.

Thor really felt like an afterthought here, its like they only really needed him for one key moment in the opening act(people who have seen it know what I'm talking about) but after it was like the writers were deciding what to do with him based on a five-minute free-write. And the ending, really? It would've been more satisfying if he went to see a familiar face(again those who have seen it know who I am referring to) and making an attempt to create "New Asgard" in similarity to that of the comics by JMS(large structure hovering over land).

There's a spoiler warning in the thread title so I feel like we can post spoilers here already. But yeah, that ending was really dumb. It completely reversed the character arc he's had these last few years. He basically resets to himself in TDW where he turned down the throne to "find himself". If that wasn't enough, his attitude once aboard the GotG's ship is reminiscent of his more arrogant attitude back in the first Thor movie.
