Despite what I read in critic reviews claiming all the characters here were given their chance to shine, I actually felt like there were quite a number of characters who were either wasted or weren't utilized to the best of their potential. Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Bucky, Wasp, etc.
Question is, who was wasted the most?

Did Hulk get a fight scene?

Everyone apart from Cap, Thor and Iron Man felt like an afterthought in my opinion. Black Widow got the best character moment in the entire film, though.

They made Bruce big and green to trick us into thinking we saw the Hulk.

Hulk, easily. Hulk as we know him was effectively killed by Thanos in IW. Hulk gets his ass beat and refuses to come out for the rest of the film. Fast forward five years in Endgame and we have Professor Hulk, which is really just a big green Banner. He screws up the time machine so he isn't even shown as a competent scientist, and the Hulk never gets a rematch with Thanos or even a chance to do anything physical. Such a complete waste of a character.

Hulk didn't want to admit it, but his actual 'snap' thought was, "Bring back everyone except Darcy."

That's literally the best scene in Infinity War when he comes back and kicks ass. I was hoping for a scene like that for him in Endgame and he didn't really get it. I was hoping he would when he grabbed hold of Mjolnir in the Asgard scene, but no...
Cap and Iron Man all got good turns though. And I thought everyone else was good.
Hoping they do Thor 4, or if he stays with GOTG that they do something good with him there. I feel like the REAL Asgard should return.

He wasn't really wasted but I was surprised how low key Rocket was. I expected them to really play up his interactions with the other characters. In a way though, I'm glad they didn't. He never felt out of place, which was a big win.
Bucky was wasted in the sense that he was just there in both IW and End Game. They should've just killed him in Civil War. He has no role in these two movies, and no resolution since Sam got the shield.

Thor. I don't understand what they were thinking.
I definitely understand being depressed even after killing Thanos for real, but that physique? And the remaining Asgardians consider him their king but have they seen the inside of his house?
It led to a not entirely insignificant conversation between him and his mother, which was nice, but Thor did not bring the pain as I thought he would. He mostly brought it to himself, like he just fell apart.
Even when he got his act back together in the final act, he lightninged his armor on top of his couch potato body. I was hoping the lightning would turn him back into Infinity War Thor.

Such a complete waste of a character. Hulk for me was toastada after Thanos whooped him in Infinity War. Going into Endgame, I barely even considered Hulk an Avenger anymore. Bruce yes, but Hulk? Not that it's a bad thing.
Some of us have never seen this Professor Hulk before so even though I got used to it quickly, it was really strange. I know it's been like 5 years, but in quantum realm fashion, 5 years onscreen was like 5 minutes of sitting in the theater.

Bucky. Other than First Avenger, Winter Solider, & Civil War, he's not really been integral. Hope he has more to do down the road with Sam.

I'll focus on the OG Avengers; I gotta say it's Hulk. I know he was the one who revived those who died in the Snap but come on, at least give him a rematch with Thanos.

I loved it. He was the best part of the movie. Again. I agree with those who said Hulk.

Bucky. Other than First Avenger, Winter Solider, & Civil War, he's not really been integral. Hope he has more to do down the road with Sam. Bucky has been on a downward spiral after TWS. He was a complete badass in TWS, easily matching Captain America. Then in Civil War it's clear he's unable to defeat Black Panther in a direct fight and gets easily defeated by Spiderman... even though Cap easily defeats Spiderman and gets the better of BP. Seems that Bucky was very much downgraded in that movie. In IW he does nothing except shoot a gun, and in that scene where they're running towards the enemy, Cap and BP are shown running way faster than everyone else. But why isn't Bucky running at par with BP and Cap? He should be just as enhanced as they are right? Seems like they don't want to consider him at their level anymore. In Endgame he literally does nothing at all. He doesn't even get a proper emotional scene with Rogers. Just hope he gets some proper respect in his TV show.

I to appreciate that Bucky knew Steve's long play time travel about not returning. 'Try not to do anything stupid while I’m gone.' 'How can I?' Bucky replies. 'You take all the stupid with you.'
Apparently there'll be a Disney+ mini-series with Bucky & Sam.

I disagree with Thor and Hulk, they may not have been what you wanted, but they definitely had plenty of moments.
Where was Ghost? I didn’t see her in the final battle, she was a trained covert ops agent and Scott and Hope referred to her as a friend in AM&TW ending.
