I'm Near-Sighted and I saw the Episode just fine! I thought it gave the episode an atmosphere of despair and confusion that really fit the mood they were trying to create.

Legit if HBO didn’t send out a message saying to turn your brightness up it’s all their fault. I couldn’t see anything the first time watching it and it has nothing to do with my eyes. It’s all the tv settings. My preset for ‘cinema’ viewing was too dark but my preset for ‘game’ viewing was perfect. HBo should’ve known that would be an issue for most viewers.

Yeah didn’t have a problem with the darkness and it allowed for some truly gorgeous shots that are being ignored by the whining.

It was after all the "the long night". Although I have no problem with people who couldn't appreciate it because different people have different taste. But I didn't have any problem with the brightness or the feel. Maybe a slight problem with how characters were used but not enough for me to not enjoy it.

The visibility is literally completely different on two slightly different settings on my own tv. It's not just a matter of mood and atmosphere....it was quite literally a matter of not being able to tell what was even happening. Im all for setting the mood but if i can't even tell what they are showing me i can't begin to get invested emotionally.

If they are ignoring...which they aren't....then theyre morons. All theyd be doing is setting themselves up for more failure in the future by not acknowledging their blunder here, even if its only internally. As a person who typically enjoys hbo programming i hope to hell that someone is paying attention to this. Because if this episode was a sign of things to come so long hbo. Im not paying to watch a black screen when i can do it for free.
