What I singularly fail to get is how the EFL could permit him to takeover Bolton (which they would had he shown funds) when he has never repaid £1.5 million in "cash advances" he took from Watford FC, another member club. He may have gone bankrupt but surely he should have to settle with Watford before the EFL could consider him fit and proper.
So what happens now if Bolton disappear into oblivion and beyond, viz-a-viz promotion and relegation.
No idea, they can't make us take their place in relegation so I would assume an extra promotion place would be awarded all down the pyramid. The reality is that they will go into administration and someone will buy them, no club of this stature has gone under completely, YET.
Bolton Wanderers will be wound up, and placed in administration within the next 24 hours.
I can't see anyone coming forward to buy the club before then 🤷 It's a basket case... The EFL are gonna spank their asses big time for the financial mess, and more so for failing to fulfill their fixtures. Expulsion from the football league is a real possibility.

Bad week for two of the original league members - Bolton and Notts Co.
Ken Anderson has said at court this morning he has no choice but to put Bolton Wanderers in to administration.
The court has given them until 22nd May to appoint administrators.
That's that then... Bye bye Bolton Wanderers 👋
Has any League club put into administration ever not been bought? Bet Anderson has preferred creditor status as well. It's the taxman and people like St.John's Ambulance and small suppliers that get really screwed when this happens.
