I don't think we needed that, they made the right choice.

So Fat Thor was supposed to fight Skinny Thor? Yes, in a deadly game of checkers.

Crazy. Those two could have brought down the house.
Not that I think it would work or is necessary, but if they did go the route, it'd be cool if it started by both of them trying to command the hammer to them, thus revealing there are two of them, and let it go from there.
If past Thor was just hanging out somewhere holding the hammer, it must have been a real shock for him to see it commanded away from him by an unknown party who knows where. Current Thor's just lucky he got out before past Thor came looking.

I agree this scene was unnecessary, but I still think it would have been entertaining to see Fathor's ass handed to him by young Thor.

But the sad reality is current Thor is still worlds stronger than TDW Thor. TDW Thor still needed Mjolnir. Ragnarok Thor is far stronger. One of the great things Marvel has done is level the heroes up each movie

Similar to how Cap fought his past self. Cap fighting himself is basically a rip-off of Season 3 of The Flash.

Similar to how Cap fought his past self. Cap fighting himself is basically a rip-off of Season 3 of The Flash. As is any "opinion" post you make, you are too dumb to formulate your own thoughts or theories so you rip off other peoples who sound smart to you, which given your clear idiocy doesn't sent the standard to high, or you just regurgitate the same this is a rip off of this "argument" even though no stupid it's not a rip off their is a finite amount of story points one can use in any given situation, it's not what is done but how it is done which will determine if something is a rip off or not, Aliens for example has been ripped off numerous times, but that doesn't mean every group of military bad ass's hunting a monster in an enclosed space is itself an Aliens ripoff, it's when they then mimic characters, specific story beats and outright scenes it becomes a rip off, so Cap fighting a younger version of himself isn't a rip off of Flash S3 you fetid sore on the arse of life.
