The show writers have announced their ending will match that of the books. It will get there through different paths and there will be changes around secondary characters but we can expect the global outcome and fate of main characters to be the same.
So Arya, Bran, Daenerys, Jon, Sansa and Tyrion will have the same evolution and end the same way. These are the main characters, those with own chapters in the first book. The White Walker threat will also end similarly, meaning it won't be the end of the story. Come to think of it, it is likely the end of The Winds Of Winter, while A Dream Of Spring deals with what comes next.
Davos and Theon came to the 2nd book, because their point of view was required, not because of their weight. Jaime and Sam were added to the list in the third book, for the same reason. Brienne and Cersei came in the fourth. None of them are main characters. Cersei was upgraded to one by the show, and it is certainly one of the writer's best decisions, but she is not the endgame beast. In the books, she is a drunken incompetent making a mess while others try to save the ship around her. Even if she ends up on the throne there, she will not be the main antagonist, only the figurehead of whatever tries to run things in a chaotic situation.
So Daenerys is, was always going to be this, the aggressor, the twist in the final part of the story. Then there is still the rumoured "big twist" in the final pages.

I believe that too only hope dany dying a heroic death would have been her dying at north of the wall that was only hope for dany fans but since that didnt happened then yes its very clear she will be the last villain they will fight the common enemy jons voice was heard over and over at trailors

I even predicted Bran would warg her and use her in a final clash with him. I'll admit I had lost all faith in the authors. Their plan was always to end the series with the human conflict, not in the fight against the fantasised evil.
What is happening now, regardless of the quality level the writing has sunken to, is what I always wanted to see happen: the tyrant revealed and unleashed in all its ferocity. Now let's hope she doesn't disappoint. And by the way, I suspect Emilia Clarke did a terrific job of making Daenerys more repulsive each season while always leaving room for enough ambiguity so the stupid wouldn't even see a thing. I couldn't watch her but the reception of the character is enough testimony of this.

Daenerys is obviously what she means. The idiots were riding on her being the good hero so hard they will have a terrible crash. What GRRM and D&D have done is nothing else but a modern translation of Nazi or Soviet propaganda to modern times. They have shown how the dumb mob still exists and is just as receptive to bullshit as their great grandparents. Stalin had himself called the "father of the people", they did the same with"Mhysa". As such they are doing a service and I could forgive them for slaughtering a good story.
