After the sweep of the Pacers and blowout of Milwaukee in Game 1, the media was riding Kyrie's nuts.
The other Celtics were told "This is why you need to bow down to Kyrie, he's your master."
So the team (who argued and fought with him all season, but sucked it up for the playoffs) quit. They let him do it by himself.
The team basically got swept after that. There was no effort from anyone. Tatum disappeared, Brown disappeared, Horford stopped playing defense on Giannis. They flopped on purpose. Hoping Kyrie would leave.

Tatum, Brown and Hayward played like shit all year, this series was just more of the same. I'm hoping with Kyrie leaving (I'll pack his bags, I just want him to make it official today), they'll become NBA quality players again. Crazy to think IT for Kyrie would end up being a sideways move, but here we are.

After every sports loss, there are always sports fans who assign all of the blame to what their team did or didn't do, and give no credit at all to the team that actually beat theirs. It's always "we just didn't show up", "we kept shooting ourselves in the foot", "we only played at half of our potential", "we made mistakes so we lost" yada yada yada.
This is among the best such posts. "My team lost to the number one seed in the league, not because they were an inferior team or anything, but because the players literally just decided to stop playing well. If they were actually trying, they'd have won for sure."

One of the local sportscasters actually led off the broadcast the other night bitching about how the Celtics were losing to a team they were better than. Really? The team that never put it together all year, blowing 25 point leads at home to teams with losing records is better than the #1 seed? You could argue the Celtics have more talent on paper from top to bottom, but it's inarguable the Bucks were the better team all year and in this series.

I don’t claim to follow the NBA as closely as some of you, but isn’t the dude on the Bucks with the name I can’t spell like the best player in the league? Or at least the East? However the Celtics played, it can’t be that surprising to lose to the Bucks.

People expected so much from the Celtics this year. They were supposed to win 60+ games and roll over the East. I just never saw that. They are a very good team though. I think Kyrie's lack of leadership and their chemistry issues hurt them.

Kyrie is talented beyond belief, but talent doesn't always equal heart. And Kyrie ain't got no heart.
I was patient all year, waiting and hoping that Kyrie was gonna shine on the parquet floor come May and June. Instead, he actually sulked more, if that's possible.
Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Guys like Tatum, Brown, and Hayward will be better off without him.

I actually found it hysterical he wanted to get away from LeBron and thought it was his time to shine as the Alpha.......
When does Uncle Drew II come out?

And yes, he’s easily the best player in the league this year. The Celtics had no answer for him. The Raptors had major problems against him this season, and Philly’s best player was his bitch.

The Lakers should hire Kyrie to coach LeBron.
