If they were able to direct a new Fantastic Four movie. Hmm, I'd rather if they got someone like Brad Bird instead.

I thought they wanted secret wars.
Getting desperate for that Marvel cash?
They need to be careful with the heroes they have gotten back.
FF have a couple bad outings & need to be done right.

The stretching. Dont like the other stretchy guys either. The others were ok & I have a lot of the team-up comics Thing was the regular in. Invisible girl was ok. Torch rather generic blond blue eyed marvel hunk hero. So many others to love like Warren Worthington or Johnny Blaze. I didnt have a problem with the basics of the FF with Evans. They screwed up Doom. I am in a time loop. Punisher War Zone was on so I figure Ive never seen it. In the middle is a commercial announcing Avengers Endgame will be in theaters April 26th. Anyway... I get they didnt need him to be THE Marvel Big Bad, but the inspiration for Darth Vader deserved better

It would be a quite a feat if they could get me to care about the FF, they were never that interesting to me in the comics.

Sure, but the FF have a much different dynamic. I also thought their powers were lame. Elastigirl works as an animated character, it's going to look ridiculous (as it has so far) on film. That said, I want to be proven wrong. I want to enjoy an FF movie so I hope they can make it work.

I'm fine with it. I thought the MCU took a turn for the even better once they came on, and I was skeptical. I thought their biggest claim to fame before this was Community. So if they're down, I might as well be too.
I liked the first two Fantastic 4 movies, but it'd be a bit of a stretch to call them good. I like them anyways, but "good" is overdoing it. Fantastic 4 (2015) was about as bad as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. They were never my go to characters, but they ain't been around all this time for nothing. I'm fairly confident something good can be done with them.

I think you can reinvent the FF’s powers. Human Torch I’ve always thought would work better as the burning man. If you’ve ever seen a practical effect stuntman on fire, that should be his normal look. Billowing fire. Mister Fantastic’s power should be quantum physics-based. That would be much more appropriate to his character. He can stick his hand out and touch something that should t be right in front of him, but it is. To observers it would appear that he his arm is replicating over and over again through the space between, but to him he’s simply breaking the laws of relative distance and nothing is actually stretching. Invisible woman, instead of shield she can cancel Inertia. Similar to when the bullets hit Captain America’s shield and drop to the floor instead of bouncing. He bubble can cancel inertia and not even allow light to pass through, so she and others can hide in it and seem ‘invisible.’
