Avatar:
The creatures are stolen from the ThunderCats (for the kids who grew up in the '80s) and are NOT original. The story is filled with terrible clichés and predictability all over the place, there's not even one molecula of originality. The story steals from hundreds of classic sci-fi books and films. The CGI is not that good like many claimed in the past. Overall, it's a fun cartoonish movie, but nothing special.
On the other hand, ENDGAME is a brilliant superhero movie with a great sci-fi concept behind, so I would say that it totally deserves to be at the top instead of Avatar and, even worse, Titanic.

I never liked Avatar much, but it's fine. A friend of mine loves Avatar, and if it makes you happy then it can't be that bad.

Another thing is that it’s a movie that practically everybody is gonna want to see. Avatar was just more of an experimental experience than anything.

You do know that Endgame is still the biggest superhero movie of all time, right? Bigger than your entire DCEU.

I do think Endgame is a superior movie than Avatar. That said, Avatar wasn't bad either. Not great but I never got the hate for it.

It’s basically just Pocahontas or Dances with the Wolves. I like some moments in it but it’s otherwise mediocre. When I first heard about it I was expecting some next level 3D, borderline virtual reality stuff but it was pretty basic. Definitely disappointing but not so bad.
EDIT: Actually Fern Gully is the best comparison.

When I first heard about it I was expecting some next level 3D, borderline virtual reality stuff but it was pretty basic. Definitely disappointing but not so bad. EDIT: Actually Fern Gully is the best comparison. Even better comparisons can be found in literature... Robert F. Young - "To Fell a Tree" 1959 A giant tree sacred to humanoid natives, is razed to the ground by a greedy, crazed human military outfit Poul Anderson – “Call Me Joe” 1957 A paraplegic telepathically connects with an artificially created life form in order to explore a harsh planet. He revels in the freedom and strength of his artificial created body, battles predators on the surface of the planet, and gradually goes native as he spends more time connected to his artificial body. Ben Bova – “The Winds of Altair” 1973. Six-legged beasties, remote control “avatars”, greedy terraforming humans. Humans are trying to terraform the planet of Altair IV, where they cannot breath the air. The natives of this planet are a cat-like race and humans are able to transfer their minds into these cats in order to explore the planet safely. The main character inhabits the body of one of these cats (just like in Avatar) and grows to side with the natives against the Military in the story. Then you have heavy elements from Anne McCaffrey's – “The Dragonriders of Pern” series. The visual similarities to Roger Dean's artwork. All the films that it has been compared with. It really is a a mish mash and (for me) unremarkable film.

Avatar is unwatchable garbage, one of the worst written films of all time. It hyped itself as an amazing experience and faced no competition at the cinema for months due to a December release date. Endgame easily would've passed Avatar had it come out in December.
That said...who cares? Avatar is among countless terrible films that made a ton of money and likewise there are countless great movies that absolutely bombed at the BO. It happens.

Avatar is unwatchable garbage, one of the worst written films of all time. The same can be said about Endgame. Sure, but your opinion is completely irrelevant. You said Warriors fans didn't hold up 'Free Draymond' signs and you're on record saying Captain America can lift Mjolnir because he's more powerful than Hulk. You also started multiple threads claiming a film which features an entire cult of warrior women fighting a war makes women look helpless. If you weren't clearly a victim of a traumatic brain injury I'd put more stock in what you had to say.
