And most people with a brain knew it would happen. Daenerys gave Cercei a chance. She denied it. And because it was so easy, because they never had a chance, because they took her child and her friend for no reason... That is why they had to die. |

And most people with a brain knew it would happen. Daenerys gave Cercei a chance. She denied it. And because it was so easy, because they never had a chance, because they took her child and her friend for no reason... That is why they had to die. Some people are saying Cersei didn't get a bad death. I say Cersei's breakdown and subsequently her lust to still live despite her defeat broke all her pride. She proved that she was a scumbag through & through. Was a lioness when dealing with others who were weak and once Dany bamboozled her she wanted to live. haha. Typical greedy scumbags. Placing no importance on weaker people when in position of power but crying & moaning when they are no longer in authority.

I thought it was awesome. She did the smart thing, flying low to the ground knowing the scorpions were pointed up and not built to be adjusted quickly or even to point downward.
I can’t believe how many idiots are crying about Daenerys losing her shit. They could not have made it more obvious that this was going to happen. They told us outright it was going to happen, for fuck’s sake.

The frustrating thing is, we've been hearing for YEARS about why Dany can't attack KL with her dragons because of all the innocents that would die as collateral damage. But the precision strike easily took out the city defenses with minimal collateral damage. Had Dany attacked right when she arrived in season 7 (before she suffered so many losses, especially Missandei), she would have conquered the city easily, without any of this "Mad Queen" business. It's just stupid.

It's just stupid. I think her advisors were bad. Tyrions strategy of dividing her forces into parts became a big failure and his subsequent suggestions too were not that good.

It's just stupid. Also, there's nothing especially merciful about starving a city into rebellion. Starving children, eating rats and then maybe neighbor eating neighbor and then finally the remaining starving multitudes storm the Red Keep taking horrific losses....
