What are your thoughts on these solid character driven werewolf movies and why? Also, do you feel that the two later films are underrated?

I loved the first movie, great werewolf movie and great horror movie. Never seen the second movie and I've seen the third only once, but I did like it.

How can it be underrated when it was total crap?

I really enjoy them. The first one is classic. The second one was ok, but the third one I thought was really fun. Putting the story in a 1700s or so setting was great.

i love the first two. i liked the third for the period Horror setting but it made no sense to include in the franchise.

The original film is quite solid with two perfect performances, but I find the first sequel to be even edgier thanks mainly for the ingenious twist. Both show good use of make-up FX for low-budget films.

Love the first one. I've never actually watched the sequels. I think they're in my Netflix queue, buried somewhere deep.

I much prefer the sequels over the original.

I enjoy how all three films have their own feel and style. It makes the trilogy more unique and interesting as well...but the sequel/prequel are more underrated. Does anyone have any favorite moments or scenes in the series?
