I am a fan of The Orville, I haven't missed a single episode and I hope it lasts for many more seasons, but your poll made me realise that there isn't a single character that I really like. That's ... odd.

I am a fan of The Orville, I haven't missed a single episode and I hope it lasts for many more seasons, but your poll made me realise that there isn't a single character that I really like. That's ... odd. That’s interesting, as I find that even if a show has an interesting premise, I can’t enjoy it unless I like the majority of characters in it (at the very least, I have to really like one or two characters). Thankfully, I like all the regular cast of The Orville (the only characters I’m not a fan of are Claire’s kids, but then I generally find kid characters annoying in shows/movies).

Without spending too much time thinking about it, I would guess that The Orville is an exception among the shows that I enjoy, as in most of them I do like some of the characters. The different Star Trek incarnations come to mind. In the case of The Orville, I don't DISlike any of the characters, but I don't think any of them is particularly remarkable. Well, maybe Bortus, although I would love it if the writers would stop making episodes revolving around the Moclans' sexuality.

After Season 2 , I'm still just coming to grips with the characters . A lot of the male fans are probably
still getting over Alara Kitan leaving , who was such a diminutive , but powerbuilt Orville officer . Now
everyone is warming to her replacement , Talla Keyali (but should we can nickname her , Ms Furious ?).
I kinda like Captain Ed , and can see some good storylines developing around him , if the writers can get
over the Ed/Kelly relationship problemo . Kelly is one hot No.1 as shown in the last Season's episodes .
The two need to spend more time apart on away missions , and I'm sure we will get to see some diehard
direction out of these two .
Is Gordy Malloy , who is Ed's best buddy and backup , going to be our forever hopeless onboard romantic ?
I don't really mind that at all . Maybe the perrenial pick-up boy for new female ship members ?
Engineer Lamarr doesn't seem to have a lot to do , and I would definitely like to see him busier and more of him .
Bortus (and Klyden) are the most enigmatic crew members , but it's time to leave their backstory , and bring
them both forward . These are two very tough ship members who need to be in the fight somewhere .
We also need to have some more Dr Claire Finn erotic adventures thrown in for fun somewhere .
And who's waiting for Isaac to get his human makeover , in some future episode ?

Ive yet to see the second season so its a little too early to have formed an opinion on who's my favorite, but I voted Kelly because she seems like the sanest member in the crew who is also easy on the eyes  I also like Bortus' blunt sense of humor. |
