This is off topic, but I gotta say: If one's gonna brag about Black Panther getting a Best Picture nomination, look at the list of winners - www.today.com/popculture/complete-list-every-best-picture-oscar-winner-ever-t107617 - and think long and hard if it truly deserves to stand shoulder to shoulder with any of those, and I dare you to say it was snubbed. Sure, they've snubbed better films over the winners before, like Return of the King was the weakest of the LOTR trilogy and was nominated and won as a consolation prize after the first two lost. But as good as Black Panther may be, it can't be on the same level as Godfather, Amadeus, etc. No corporate superhero franchise film can ever be.

I'm not a huge BP fan, and I don't think it was snubbed...but it's way better than Braveheart and Titanic

It was Salkind film Modesty Blaise is not a DC film Stop trying to make out the jimmy Olsen Universe is a thing

Are you actually presenting an argument against a non-existing claim that Black Panther is as good as The Godfather? Do you enjoy arguing with ... no one? What next? A counter argument to the claim that BvS is one of the greatest superhero movies ever made? (Believe it or not, one person actually said that.)

Do you also deny that Orville Wright's 1st flight doesn't count as "flying" since he only flew for 12 seconds and 120 feet at a speed of only 6.8 MPH?

Supergirl (10% on RT) is one of DC's greatest achievements! Just like BvS is one of DC's greatest superhero movies ever made! ... and, if I remeber correctly, the Wright Bros flight didn't crash and burn ... and set back the aviation industry for over a decade.

If Black Panther had somehow won Best Picture, by definition it would be in the same league as Godfather I and II. Being nominated implies it's in the running. And we all know that Ledger only got his Oscar because he died.

Regarding the Best Picture talk, it should be noted that TDK not getting nominated is actually what led to the Academy expanding the number of Best Picture nominees available. Previously, only five movies were nominated for Best Picture, but from 2010 onward, a total of up to 10 movies could get nominated.

Are you suggesting that every nominated picture must be comparable to The Godfather? That's rather dumb. C. Ledger deserved the Oscar. Don't listen to those who try to diminish his personal accomplishment and give the credit to a comic book company.

This would be good. Give each main hero a trilogy of their own, then end the whole thing with a Justice League two-part finale or trilogy.
End the half-team ups and the only setup should be near the end of the timeline for a showdown with the ultimate villain (be it Brainiac, Darkseid, or someone else).

Watch it go tits up again in five years with a college road movie with Diana chaperoning Billy.
