Payless Shoe Source! I'm not kidding, I thought it was Payless Shoes Store my whole life . I know because I was a poor child and my mother and grandmother used to take us there twice a year to get shoes. Once for school in the fall and once for new church/dress shoes around Easter. I've been in that store so many times!!! Wtf?

I've never heard of 'Shoe Source' until this moment. I assumed it was always 'Payless Shoes'.

Yeah, we ate government peanut butter and cheese.

It has always been Payless Shoe Store. Always! Something has gone awry with reality!

It has always been Payless Shoe Store. Always! Something has gone awry with reality! Some of the 'so called' Mandela Effects I brush off...
Like, I know it has always been "Looney Tunes" because the cartoons were called "Merrie Melodies" and in the 1930s/40s they always played classical music in the background. And I watched "Space Jam" on repeat as a kid and it said "TuneSquad" on their jerseys.
Stuff like that are just things people misremember or don't understand the origin.
However, THIS IS WRONG! I know it. It was NEVER PAYLESS SHOE SOURCE.

Perhaps this 30+ year old commercial will jog y'alls memories.
I know source does sound a lot like store especially when your mind is expecting the word store but maybe most of you should cut back on the drinking anyway.

That is the problem with Mandela Effect, if we did 'shift' into a new timeline, there would be no residual memories in 'this timeline' because it would always have been "Payless Shoe Source" here, in this place. Just like Berenstein Bears. I don't care if all the books say "Berenstain Bears" it isn't right in my mind.

I'm just sad that Payless is closing all their stores. Been shopping there since childhood. 😪😢

I sort of recall the Source in the later years of Payless Shoe's existence. Sort of how Sears was once "Sears & Roebuck" technically I think it was always officially "Sears, Roebuck & Company" but just known as "Sears" and branded that way.

The old logo was a little more apparent about being the "Source" rather than a store. The new logo sucked in my opinion. The old one had a '70s vibe going. I'm disappointed in them going out of business. My girls grow so fast that it's stupid to buy $50 pairs of shoes for them.
