Not sure what the deal is. They were shot like 100 times in the last film so it seems unlikely.

i thought the premise was - the film was shot in 'hell'? no? either way i'm happy to finally get this maybe since they were the Devils - 'Rejects' - they were sent back to Earth by The Devil (Dr. Satan anyone in HOTC?) - to wreak havoc. Reminds me of Prophecy II where Gabriel was sent back to Earth because Hell wasn't big enough for him and Lucifer.

It could very well be that the trailer is misleading us, and maybe there's some supernatural fuckery or it's a prequel or something. But all we have to go on is this trailer, so far.

Whether they somehow survived the Freebird bullet hazing, or the series has suddenly gone supernatural, both ideas sound stupid. RZ should have left it at TDR. He must be out of ideas.

Y'all don't think they could survive this?
Maybe those cops were really bad shots or we just don't see the Firefly Family's bullet proof vests. On a more important note, how cool is Capt. Spauldings shirt? Minus the blood and bullet holes of course.

Looks like Rob's back to his comfort zone here (if he ever left it). Hillbillies, lowlifes, lotsa cussin', brutality and a sprinkling of sex/nudity just to tick all the boxes.
Sadly, I didn't find any of it engaging or competently handled first time around so for me, this "teaser" trailer serves more as a warning to steer clear rather than entice me to watch.
Thoroughly resistable I'd say.

Full trailer:
Looks they did indeed survive. That's pretty stupid.

Look out for this one. Loved The Devil's Rejects. Not as fond of House of 1000 Corpses. Nice Karen Black was in it though. I enjoyed The Devil's Rejects, but it's a pretty mixed experience. It includes Rob Zombie indulging in some of his worst instincts, but it also feels like he's poking fun at it a bit and it's handled better than most of his other stuff. And I really disliked House of 10000 Corpses. I found it extremely annoying, but he changed up the style in a much better way for the sequel. But the ending worked because it was so clear that he set it up as the definitive end. It seems obvious he was trying to tell us there was to be no further sequel. But now, after he's had a few movies that nobody paid to see, and he's had a hard time getting another project greenlit, he goes back to the well of the only thing that people really liked. Hard to blame him, but it seems lame and as odd as these movies have a license to be anyway, it's still hard to believe that they survived. With the knowledge of where this is coming from, and Rob Zombie's track record taken into account, it's pretty hard for me to get too excited about it.

Pretty bad reviews from what I've seen. That's not a surprise at all, and may not mean much, but the reviews describe a pretty lame experience. The idea that the movie begins with the characters simply surviving the unsurvivable ending of the previous movie seems dumb, and a lot of the descriptions say it's just a boring rehash of the The Devil's Rejects with Sid Haig missing from most of the proceedings.
