According to the report, Gunn will assume a Feige-like position at WB. It further details that the franchise will be split into a shared universe and stand-alone features that will merge in the future.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that this is probably not true. Maybe I’m wrong, but this just sounds like wishful thinking from someone who wants DC to be more like Marvel.

Hmm. I don’t know how I feel about that. GOTG and Suicide Squad seem perfect for him. And I could get down with him writing and directing Multiple Man or Plastic Man. But overseeing the whole DCEU sounds like a stretch. Pun unintended but I’m super happy about it.
Anyways, whoever decided to make Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam! and Joker the way they were should be overseeing it. If they suddenly put Gunn in this kind of position we could be looking at the second coming of the Snyderverse but with the opposite problems. I’d hate to see DC trip and fall after how tall they’ve been standing post-Snyder.

Well if it is true, this is certainly interesting. Nobody can say he doesn't know what he's doing. People who disliked GOTG 2 could, also being able to write and direct 2 films isn't the same as being the puppet master of a shared and unshared cinematic universe's.
Also Gunn was supposedly overseeing the cosmic Marvel stuff till he got fired, that includes Captain Marvel which really went about fucking up some of the established continuity of the Marvel films, so if that's any indicator to his prowess as an overseer then I wouldn't be too excited.

Odd. He's overseeing a Marvel title as well as the entirety of the DCEU? If left to his own devices, the DCEU will turn into more of a shitshow than it already is.
