Starring Margot Robbie as a bride-to-be who meets her in-laws (Andie MacDowell; Henry Czerny) at their opulent mansion. Apparently they have a family tradition that's rather deadly.

Uhhh... That's not Margot Robbie... Fuck me you’re right. Time to get a new prescription.

Come on, they spoiled not one, but TWO death scenes?
Regardless, this looks interesting. The setup reminds me of Would You Rather a bit.

Those moments worked in the trailer, but would clearly have worked better in the movie if they didn't totally blow the surprise. I certainly hope it's better than Would You Rather. The premise may have a similar flavor to it, but this looks a lot more entertaining and tongue-in-cheek.

It’s no masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s torturous fun with a charmingly hatable performance by Jeffrey Combs. They also used the concept to its advantage and doesn’t let down on that whatsoever.

Jeffey Combs is definitely having a good time, but it plays out like he's in a different movie entirely, and nobody else in the cast is noteworthy. It played out mostly logically, but also very predictably. The main issue, I guess, is that it's sort of a ridiculous concept but the movie takes it too seriously and it really isn't any fun. This movie looks like it embraces the absurdity a bit more.

i thought this was ok with first watch. After seeing it again, it highly entertaining. One of the best of 2019. Better than Knives Out , one of the other 2019 films about rich families.

That's Samara Weaving but she does look like Robbie. The movie itself wasn't bad and the plot was original.

I liked it too. Not as much as most other people seemed to when it came out, but it was pretty good fun. I think it faltered in some moments and wasn't especially well directed in spots. The layout of the house isn't as well established as it needs to be for a lot of the later scenes to work as well as they should.. and the ending, not the climax but the very end, feels like the whole movie was an excuse to get there because they fell in love with fairly obvious and derivative imagery... BUT .. most of the imperfections are just disappointing because so much of the rest of the movie works so well.
It's totally solid and one of the better horror movies, and one of the better comedies of the year.
I liked Knives Out better though.

It's good, but not nearly as fun or funny as I thought it would be. It's actually pretty serious and heavy.

It's got some intense horror moments, but the comedy outweighs them for sure, especially because the big moments it leaves you with are wildly comedic. Maybe this is the difference between seeing it in a theater with a crowd and seeing at home.
