Logan ages slower than the other mutants. He was born in 1832. That was their point in X1. Mutants age slower and better than humans. It's easy. No it wasn't. Their point is that his healing factor makes him age slower than any other person. If it was at all true that mutants age slower then they would have made a point to it in the movies. The only person they ever made a point of saying they age slower is Logan. And they did it twice. In X1 and X2. If it was at all the case they would have said it to a human in any of the X-men movies when explaining mutants to them. Especially in First Class and DoFP when mutants were new to normals. They even made a point that Apocalypse doesn't age slow, but continually changes bodies. Well, it's simple. A retcon happened. In the new saga, starting with First Class, mutants age a bit slower and BETTER than humans. BETTER is the key. They cannot live for centuries like Logan. The X-Men will die at 90 or 95, looking much BETTER than equally-aged humans. In 2023, they were all "old", and they looked 50 or so. Jean Grey is born in 1967, so at the end of DOFP she was about 66.

Wouldn't the parents of mutants notice the slowed aging of their children?

I think the point you are missing that if the continuity this messed up you is have to rationalize or justify this much, there is something wrong. A movie or series doesn't need to tell you everything, but there should be some explanation in context on the screen. As an audience we shouldn't have to come up with elaborate theories of multiple timelines, universes, etc. If there are multiple timelines or universes it should be addressed in character on the screen. They never said that First Class is a separate timeline. They introduce time travel in DoFP, but they show on screen the same older version from the original trilogy and Wolverine movies. If that's a separate time line created they should've discussed that. Those are supposed to be the same xmen you saw in X1, X2. So the gaffe of that Proff X met eric when he was 17 should be the same. Now if they were an alternate universe or Shaw was a time traveler it should be stated or shown on screen.

Even if the movies are brilliant and superb, they messed up the continuity. Said that, First Class was officially announced as a "soft reboot" from almost anyone involved. DOFP was an afterthought, of course. Altered timeline or alternate universe, well, there are no more contradictions once you put in the equation one of those two options.

That's the reason I hated the Wolverine cameo in First Class. The scene was fucking brilliant but it turned a Soft Reboot to a Prequel. And I love First Class and would've loved to scene what they would've done without bridging to all movies. They still could've done Wolverine movies with Hugh in one offs, but if they would introduce a Wolverine in the new Rebooted First Class Universe it would confuse the hell of the normies.

Still, that was supposed to be THE Wolverine of the First Class universe, not THE Wolverine from the original trilogy. Kinberg suggested that the Wolverine movies belong to an alternate continuity, as well as the Deadpool movies. Check your private messages...

Which on-screen evidence are you referring to? Are you saying that because they don't look like they aged? In the comic books, mutants don't share the common trait of slowed aging. Some mutants age slower as a predefined aspect of their power set. It's not universal.

Nope it's not a deduction it's an excuse and a lame one, to make it fit you have to discount far more evidence against it than you have to acknowledge for it to work, the simple answer is it's laziness, stupidity or cheapness that they decided ah fuck it who cares if they don't age who will notice...we did you bastards, I mean seriously a little extra make up to make them look older would that be too much to ask?

They did a good job between Wolverine and X-24 in Logan. To show the peak of Logan vs the Old Sickly one. So they had the skill set to do it.
