Why does something like 10 Mile Stereo fall on the correct side of the fence as far as rock is concerned, yet if Chris Martin created exactly the same song, wearing a stripey t-shirt, sporting a loom band bracelet and animatedly bouncing about over the keyboard, we would understand it to be absolute garbage? 🤔
Is it just Chris Martin?

I haven't heard anything since their execrable debut, the appeal of which I found highly bemusing. They were sort of stadium indie with (Satan forbid) shoegaze tendencies then, and I can't imagine they've got any better. I could of course look up the song you mention on Youtube if I was feeling broadminded. But I'm not. You talking Innerspeaker? I actually bought Lonerism first then Currents before going back to the start. Hard to judge it as a debut hearing it last but yeah it's nowhere near as good as the other two. Separating the other two however is another story... |
