Anybody here who remembers the 'Glory Days' of WLUP in Chicago, back in the (very) late 1970's and early 1980's, with these guys: SAVE FERRIS

Never liked Dahl and Meier (the two on the right) though Meier became acceptable after falling out with Dahl. I liked Bob Stroud who was on the Loop at some point.
Was Larry Lujack on the Loop? He was one of the most famous boss jocks of his day.

Lujack was never on The Loop.....which, may (or may not) explain your dislike (I'm assuming) for Steve Dahl (since he often dissed Lujack, as he did with many other Chicago-area 'jocks'...). Personally, even though I realized that Dahl was brash, often arrogant, rude, and tended to be a "know-it-all", I was still fascinated by him......but more specifically, by the BOTH of them. I think Garry Meier brought JUST enough levity, and "stability" to their team to help make them both likeable.......obviously, in my opinion! But I was an even BIGGER fan of Kevin Matthews, out of all of these guys..... SAVE FERR

I googled him a couple years ago and saw he was still in the business. He had a contest where callers would try to identify an oldie within just a few seconds of the opening. I won a book by Bob Greene.

That's the one I won on Stroud's show – signed by Greene. I think Greene coined the term "yuppy".

I went with my sister to Terri Hemmert's (WXRT-FM) condo back in the 80s.
