I will no longer refer to the Divine Creator as 'God', because too many wars and atrocities have been - and continue to be - committed in His name. That has only given people fodder to blame the Divine and claim that 'God' condoned all these things in the Bible, therefore they don't believe in Him.
The Divine Creator, or 'The Divine' is not the one who condoned all those things (like slavery) that some like to say He did.

I'm guessing this is an answer to WarrenPeace's post.

Most deities have actual names to call them.

Yahweh didn't let his name be known till Moses met him at the burning bush, I suppose for similar reasons. With the set of commandments made available to Moses, things got safer.

Most deities have actual names to call them. LOL So that whole Yahweh/Jehovah/God thing on that other post was as much nonsense as I thought at the time? Perhaps you should make up your mind, and not claim special personal preferences and change the goal posts when it suits you about your religion and whatever the fuck you call your 'Godhead'?

You're a christian, right? Believe in the bible? Deuteronomy 20:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: 17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee: Your "divine creator' directly orders the total genocide of six tribes right there. How do you square this with your opinion that god doesn't condone such things?

There are no more Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, or Jebusites. if some people begin to call themselves similar names that won't be the same thing. See what i did there? I exercised logic.

Fine with me. Maybe I'll call him, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino. Because it doesn't matter. God is God even if you don't call him that. Call him what you will, but remember this....

Your religion has a prescription against bearing false witness. What will you say to jesus when he asks you why you lied so much?
