Yes, we all have it. It just has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus F Christ. The point being made is the abuse by the institution of of right and wrong and human happiness with the hypocrisy of using Jesus Christ as an excuse. Yes, the point is the abuse, & it was precisely because they chose their own decisions rather than following the Teachings Of Christ. No, they committed crimes against society which reflects secular morality. THEN the Catholic Church committed more crimes in covering up the secular crimes because......(Catholic reasons)……..stuff the Teachings of Jesus Christ and the laws of the lands

Who are you referring to? The clergy or the Church that covered up what the clergy did. BTW I thought the Catholic Church encouraged fanaticism.

I know couples who remained close years after having kids, but, stopped having sex. My example was a young couple with enough, if not TOO many children, which tends to happen in Catholic families. They marry young, have their families by their mid late twenties and then what?

No, the Catholic Church does not encourage fanastism. It encourages following the Lord, yes, but not fanaticism. So, let me get this straight! You are accusing BOTH the clergy and the powers in the Catholic church with fanaticism? So the clergy were fanatical paedophiles and sexual predators and what constituted the fanaticism of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church? The Catholic Church? So all that they did wrong was NOT follow your Lord JC?

They raise their kids. Since you know these things intimately, do they sleep in the same bed? these married people who can't have sex anymore for being responsible and not bringing more kids into the world, yet have previously had a loving and fulfilling procreative loving sex life?? Does Jesus think this is a good idea? I just read on a Catholic website that there were two parts to conjugal sex. 1. Procreation 2. Unification love and understanding. Sex is encouraged for that. So that goes out the window?

yourself, Bigot. Yes, I do tend to get bigoted against bigoted and ignorant people, so here is one for you... The only bigoted & ignorant people I see around here, are people such as yourself. So back at ya, Cheesy.

I speak the truth here. If people do not feel prepared to have a baby, & want to prevent the spread of STDs, then they should not have sex. If people want to prevent the spread of pious, distorted, manipulating, devious, ignorant and corrupt behavior, then they should not be a Catholic. Nope. If people want to prevent the spread of pious, distorted, manipulating, devious ignorant and corrupt behaviour, then they should become Catholic.

But the institution that is guided by Christ would have a record that places them strikingly above those other institutions. It's head, Christ, would make sure his institution was seen by all to be so much better. Why has Christ allowed his institution to appear as just another abusive, greedy, & power hungry human led institution? An outsider could only conclude that it is simply just what it appears to be.
Ever heard of "Free Will?" Christ Taught us right from wrong, but, it is ultimately up to us to follow. So what's your point then...that people shouldn't expect an institution that is led by Christ to act any better than an institution led by ordinary, selfish humans...that Christ doesn't think that the institution that HE leads must show itself to the world as much better than other institutions? If that's the case, then Christ is giving no reason for people to follow him into that institution. (And so he shouldn't blame them if they don't).

yourself, Bigot. Yes, I do tend to get bigoted against bigoted and ignorant people, so here is one for you... I always thought the icon was the crying one. I just found out it's the one for vomit. The stuff coming out of the orifice looks more blue to me. I've never seen blue vomit before. Except in "Heathers", when 'red' Heather accidentally drinks a cup of liquid Drano. Decent kill, decent movie...

Stop spreading lies! Me lie? I'm an angel with wings. I actually feel sorry for Catholics, having to defend the indefensible because …..(NOT only their version of a triumvirate God) butt the powers that be in the Church from the Pope down. I will give you that THIS Pope is a small step up, however the rest of the dirty old men in the Vatican are for the most part a disgrace if they attempt to pull the progressive Pope backwards to the bad old days of everything that was wrong with the Catholic Church. edit: That is why I respected @father Jack because he promoted the key values of an improved Catholic Church and was honest and disapproving of the bad side.

We all disapprove of the bad side in the Church (pedophile clergy & Bishops that covered for them). Many of the people that demanded the most answers regarding all of that, plus the removal of Bishops that covered up abuse, were practicing, devout Catholics.
