It's a shame I don't believe you. Translating the occasional Italian email does not make you a translator ( if this is the case I could say I too am a translator of Italian and Spanish) and whether or not you feel transcreation was a word invented does not make the action of transcreation get any less real. The bible has been transcreation into many different versions like it or not dear. You yourself state the King James is the 'atheists favourite' this intimates it is a different version to the one you follow. Shame you can't grasp that at you age really. I will take the fact I work with over 100 copywriters, all of who transcreate and translate over your little pin money job that most of us don't believe. I could not care less whether you "believe" in my job and it's a science fiction novel series, you silly spiteful girl, not an email. The Bible is not"transcreation" it's not a condom advert! Nobody believes people who repeatdly lie Ada. Remember when you claimed to be a linguist on the original RFS board? Remember when people who read your poorly structured semiliterate ramblings laughed at your absurd claim to such an extent that in your embrassment you denied ever claiming to be one? Remember when your science fiction stories were posted on the original RFS board and just about everybody laughed at how shockingly bad they were? So you can call yourself linguist, translator, teacher or even author it doesn't lend any authority to the absurd bullshit you type. You are judged on the merit of your words and as with everything else in life you have been found wanting.

Is gay people getting married something that bothers you? If so.... why? Absolutely not. I'm married (to a man) and we have a family, I see no reason why same sex couples shouldn't have the sames rights as us. I also don't see how it could possibly undermine our marriage. Yey the Baroness is here, when did you arrive?

No one is born homosexual. How do you know? Can you prove it, or is it just something you wish were true?

Oh look, he called me a 'heterosexual', I'm hurt! lol Give me a f-in break. Yes, please do give me a f-kin break from your complete and total denial and ignorance. 'Denial' of what and 'ignorance' of what? My response is consistent with the things I had been discussing in the thread. About "homophobic", that word is senseless and FALSE. Keep it to yourself. About "bigotry", it's very easy to tag a label on anyone. You could be considered a 'bigot' against anyone rejecting homosexuality, so it works both ways. I might feel "hurt" if I were an effeminate, except I'm not one of those and I don't feel 'hurt' at all. I have very firm wrists. You and others here are the ones stating I have some kind of 'hatred' inside. You confuse even that word. I haven't claimed anything, but I can say one thing: I don't go around displaying a strong hate and mockery and disrespect towards Christianity like those like you keep doing, that's a fact. If there had been firm standards set in place here, those of you disrespecting Christians and Christianity would have been warned against it already in as stern a way as other users were regarding other things. Instead what we see here is 'radio silence' in that regard. I must reject homosexuality for the simple reason of truth that it is a very destructive practice.

Well that's what they would have everyone believe. It goes in line with their interests, after all. Exactly. They want to believe that silence means consent. Right.

What type of judgment are we talking about? Because we are asked to call out sinful behavior ...which homosexuality is. Jesus told us NOT to judge. He didn't add "but you can if people are gay". What you say is false.

But we are asked to call out sinful behavior....which homosexuality is. No 'buts'. The Bible does NOT say 'not to judge'. Quite the opposite..

But we are asked to call out sinful behavior....which homosexuality is. Maybe if you are an old testa-mentalist, but not if you are a Christian... Jesus came and brought the new covenant, and the new commandment... Love each other, and don't judge... (there was no clause a, exemption 1, against gays)... Untrue.

I just tore your argument to shreds. i.e. you cant back your argument with bible passages. In the future don't repeat arguments you don't fully understand. You find Christ in your heart son, not the pages of a book... False.

And by the way, Jesus was not silent about it.

Nobody really knows what Jesus said, it's all conjecture. But by all means, tell yourself Jesus hated gay people if it helps you feel good. Personally, Jesus said to me that you're a bigoted douche-bag.

Not only is it not true, but it's connecting things that have nothing to do with each other. It's pretending for some reason that there there is only one batch of translators at any given time and that throughout all of humanity including up to our day, everyone except translators are a bunch of illiterate morons which would include yourself. On top of that, it implies that there is a hidden agenda of translating according to beliefs at the time when the translations have stayed consistent in spite of teaching that contradict the purity of the translation. If most translations done now are for the simple goal of translating to something understandable to different groups, why on earth wiuld Scripture be any different? I have no problems schooling you on any Bible you care to throw at me because that is not the purpose of translating. If there is some whacky Bible out there, it is exposed by the mountain of other translations that are pretty close to the original texts. So I ask again why do people continue to make this ridiculous argument? Consider the poster's user name.

I wasn't asking for a popular vote, I was asking for your personal choice in that situation. Obviously the notion of God asking you to judge another person is purely hypothetical. When someone asks you to imagine something, do you spit back "NO, IT'S NOT REAL!!!"? The point is, you didn't want to answer because you knew it would reveal your personal prejudices, which actually has nothing to do with God. There was no "game", it simply boils down to that. But then again, we all already knew that about you. And of course you went ahead and changed it around to make it about gays being obsessed with sex. I've already lost track how many times you've skirted around a question and flip-flopped it to suit your needs. I hope others try the thought exercise with more tact and open-mindedness. I guess that's my fault for trying to make a topic less heated. You had no desire to make it less heated, you want to makr it all about yourself. I am still not playing. Accurate.
