It's being made but I won't watch it.
I hate political correctness and this reeks of it.
That's fine. There's no obligation. I doubt I'll watch it either. But I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy it. It's too bad you hate giving people of color jobs in the entertainment industry. They're allowed to be in movies, you know. I don't hate that.
I hate when they change characters to appease political correctness.
INVENT a new character.
INVENT a new story.
For fans of the original, this is a slap in the face. They don't get their redheaded mermaid that they grew up watching.
The whole thing stinks.
These characters are fictional but they are still very important to millions of people.
Liberals eventually destroy everything they try to 'improve'.
And, on top of it all, it is supremely LAZY.

Disney didn't do that when it started adapting old stories. No reason to do that now that black people are getting roles in Disney movies. And no, putting black people in movies does not destroy them. Supreme laziness would be to just make the exact same movie that was already animated. That takes even less effort.
