It's all about how they're handled. When Batman Begins came out, people were also saying, "Another Batman movie?"

Sure, but it's easier to make a compelling Batman movie than it is with goofy characters like the Flash or Aquaman. A Martian Manhunter movie could be amazing in the right hands. I'm very excited for Wonder Woman even though the entire DCEU has been crap thus far. As a fan of CBMs in general, I wish WB/DC knew what to do with their own source material.

I think it's all about setting the right tone for the movies. The Flash should be more comedic/light hearted.
Aquaman should be visually compelling and epic in scope. The man commands 70% of the earth's surface.
The funny thing is they have some great creative minds behind their animated movies/shows who do know what to do with the source material.

I loved most of the recent animated DC movies. I keep thinking "oh so that's what the live action movie was supposed to be?"

If Marvel can bring Ant-Man to the screen in a palpable manner, The Flash should be a breeze.

Justice League 2 could be anticipated just as much. If anything, JL could spark the DCEU to gain support and build to its eventual peak. Marvel fans didn't lose interest after The Avengers came out, their interest grew (exponentially).
They just need to make a good movie as Marvel did with The Avengers. Easier said than done, but I'm confident that JL will be far better than BvS or Suicide Squad.

The 2nd stage starting with Aquaman + the movies that follow will only build more anticipation for another team up down the road. That's just for the heroes not counting the hype to see iconic villains.

Their recent animated films haven't really been all that great. The less said about TKJ, the better.

I hear they're back on track with the Judas Contract film, and that's was coming from someone who disliked the films post flashpoint.

Justice League Dark was pretty fun and more coherent than Suicide Squad.
